„I´ve finally arrived in the city of Sshamath, rendering my former company useless and therefore I´ve decided to reclaim the advance payment that had persuaded them to take this detour more effectively than any knive would have been able to. Nonetheless, I felt I couldn´t have them coming back to me once they found out, so I left them with a little surprise that should keep them occupied.

Sshamath will be quite different to move around in from my regular grounds. I´ve decided to take things slowly and keep my ears open for a bit before making contact: To my delight, I found that the outpost of House Noqu'afin, as wisely ordered by the matron some time ago, has grown to an influental size in the city. Belados Noqu'afin is in charge of the outpost and has slowly begun to weave threads and connections, but this hasn´t changed the fact that a House of Lloth is met with reluctance where the wizards rule.

One of the next days I´m going to find this Belados. From what I´ve gathered, it is hard to calculate the outcome of this, so I´m going to have some precautions ready, just in case. Being careful not to rush things might also be in order.

The duergar I´ve met could prove useful if things should get out of hand. He´s as cheap as a mercenary comes, and makes an outstanding card game partner. I should remember to give him a distinguishable name when I meet up with him again. Calling him duergar could become confusing as the city seems to be quite full of them. I shall ask him whether he already has one of his own, this would share me the trouble to come up with one.“
