Gnome Warlock, Build and RP??

Hey All,

Thinking about leveling a Deep Gnome Warlock in the UD. I have absolutely NO idea how to do it! I have never gone lock before, I have never gone Gnome before and it's been so long since I've been in the UD, that all I can remember is constant Fugue visits with Gish characters. I know there is a ton of Warlock custom feats on the server, I can't find the documentation on it and I wouldn't know what I was looking at anyways. That's besides the point that I need a serious crash course of Gnome RP, if someone could point me to some links there, it would be great!

You'd be far better off going Warlock (14), Daggerspell Mage (10), Rogue (3), Shadowdancer (3)

And stop your DEX on an even number, so you can make use of Leaps & Bounds invocation.

Seriously though, not only do I not understand Warlock, but I don't understand how Daggerspell Mage works either. Would Death Attack work on the long distance touch attacks through Eldtrich Blasts......

I am pretty sure I need to reserve my RAM for more important things, like where I left my keys, or what day the kids have their party at school again but alas, if there is a simple answer to how DSM synergizes between Warlock and Sneak/Death Attacks, I'm all ears!

Death Attack—from Assassin—does not work with RTAs, which is what Eldritch Blasts are.

DsM works with Warlock mainly by a) progressing Caster Level and Eldritch Blast dice; b) by using Hideous Blow, so dmg from Stealth is a combination of Eldritch blast dice + sneak dice + extra dagger dmg (DsM) + normal weapon dmg + extras on said weapon(s).

Rogue unlocks DsM. SD grants HiPS + Uncanny Dodge.

You listed build also really doesn’t have the INT for reliable Death Attacks in epic levels anyway.

Well if you really want assassin because it's a background thing - then you'll want to keep your Charisma to 10 or even 8 or less - you don't need CHA to cast invocations, leaving your DEX to 18 with Leaps and Bounds invocation (so to boost it up to 22 DEX) and focussing to raise INT instead for the Death Attack save. Even CON, you don't need it that high, so you can focus your efforts on Intelligence. And of course you'd need Practiced Spellcaster for Warlocks. You'll also need Hideous blow to do this:

But, if you don't care about being assassin, Steve's variant is definetely gd.
