Ironclads Tome of Song

Unread post by blazerules »

PREFACE:
Well off went my diary, long has that been burnt to a crisp. Lately I've been doing a lot and ruminating a lot more. Mostly ruminating on the state of things in the coast really. Theres a lot to be angry about just as there is a lot to be happy for. Maybe a bit too much of both to the point I almost feel bipolar at times. But I guess that's only natural.

I have found an outlet of... sorts. Song. I'm sure my goddess would approve, if not of the contents but of something that brings dance to ones step. I have a good many pages of unpublished, and unsung song. I wonder what to even do with it? Maybe I'll simply use this tome to write. It is bad? Yeah. I'm... really not an artist unless you count the way I kill art. But I do enjoy the song and its a really good and healthy outlet to have.

I'll start with a song I wrote for Myradon.
The Vindicators March

"From the depths of Greenfields, we raise our voice,
The Myradon Vindicators, we made our choice,
To stand against the tyrants, to stand against the lies,
We'll end the suffering under these endless skies.

March on, march on, oh Vindicators brave,
With hearts of lions, it's Myradon we'll save,
We march for justice, we march for peace,
With every step we take, the suffering shall decrease.

No child shall starve, no man in chains,
In our fair Myradon, where justice reigns,
We offer home and hearth, to those oppressed,
For in our hands, the downtrodden find rest.

March on, march on, with a purpose, oh so clear,
Bring hope to the helpless, bring the desolate cheer,
We march for the broken, we march for the weak,
With every voice in chorus, it’s justice that we speak.

We are the beacon in the darkest night,
The Vindicators marching, holding high the light,
Where monsters lurk, where bandits hide,
We march on undaunted, with righteousness as our guide.

March on, march on, for it's a new dawn we seek,
In fields and in forests, on mountain peak,
We march for the silenced, we march for the free,
From the depths of the Greenfields, a better world we'll see.

So listen, ye mighty, listen, ye small,
We are the Myradon Vindicators, answering the call,
We march on together, and let it be known,
In the heart of the Greenfields, a new seed is sown."
Heres a few more, though actually unsung.
Beneath the Gilded Crown

Beneath the gilded crown, what doth thy see,
A veil of virtue, or a treachery spree?
Knights of the realm, bound in iron chains,
Feudal lords bask, whilst the lands they wane.

Nobles they name themselves, sitting high and pretty,
Their hearts but empty caverns, void of any pity,
Claim they virtue and honor, draped in silken cloak,
Their actions tell a tale, of a different folk.

Beneath the gilded crown, what doth thy see,
A veil of virtue, or a treachery spree?
Knights of the realm, bound in iron chains,
Feudal lords bask, whilst the lands they wane.

Noble knights, once brave, bound by the chain,
Serving under the crest, bearing the lord's stain,
Lost their voice, their will, beneath the oath they sworn,
Once men of valor, now dogs to a horn.

Beneath the gilded crown, what doth thy see,
A veil of virtue, or a treachery spree?
Knights of the realm, bound in iron chains,
Feudal lords bask, whilst the lands they wane.

The realm weeps beneath, the burden of gold,
In the hands of the few, the power they hold,
Hereditary titles, a game of the dice,
The common man pays, the ultimate price.

Beneath the gilded crown, what doth thy see,
A veil of virtue, or a treachery spree?
Knights of the realm, bound in iron chains,
Feudal lords bask, whilst the lands they wane.

So here I stand, my fury ablaze,
Against the crown, my voice I raise,
A storm is brewing, the air tastes sour,
For the realm shall reclaim, its lost power.
The Banners of Discord

In the castle of opulence, where shadows masquerade,
Sit the lords of high birth, deals of deceit they've made,
Under titles and crests, their true visage they hide,
In the court of the jesters, their malevolence reside.

Raise the banners of discord, let the winds carry our roar,
Against the gilded throne, and the lies it bore,
In the face of their power, our spirits won't fray,
For in the echoes of the wind, the truth will sway.

Iron-clad knights, once free men of the vale,
Bound by chains of fealty, under the lord's regale,
Lost their will, their voice, to the serenade of gold,
In the halls of the silenced, their stories remain untold.

Raise the banners of discord, let the winds carry our roar,
Against the gilded throne, and the lies it bore,
In the face of their power, our spirits won't fray,
For in the echoes of the wind, the truth will sway.

The towers stand tall, on the sweat of the meek,
In the fields of disparity, the future looks bleak,
Wealth in the hands of the undeserving few,
Time for a reckoning, for justice is due.

Raise the banners of discord, let the winds carry our roar,
Against the gilded throne, and the lies it bore,
In the face of their power, our spirits won't fray,
For in the echoes of the wind, the truth will sway.

In the whispers of rebellion, a spark ignites,
Against the darkness, a beacon of rights,
In the wake of the struggle, the dawn will break,
For the reign of the just, a new world we'll make.
Tempest of Retribution

In halls of gold and silver, false nobles sneer and jest,
Behind masks of virtue, their sins they've neatly dressed,
Their laugh rings hollow, their promises but lies,
For beneath the velvet guise, the serpent's heart lies.

Sound the bell of vengeance, let its echo fill the night,
A tempest of retribution, in the face of the spite,
Against the tide of treachery, our wrath will stand tall,
Let the castle of deceit, crumble and fall.

Knights in armor shining, hounds at the noble's behest,
Lost their soul to servitude, in the name of a crest,
Trapped in chains of vassalage, their spirit torn and frayed,
In the dungeon of obedience, their valor has decayed.

Sound the bell of vengeance, let its echo fill the night,
A tempest of retribution, in the face of the spite,
Against the tide of treachery, our wrath will stand tall,
Let the castle of deceit, crumble and fall.

In the shadow of the keep, the common man toils,
The fruit of their labor, in noble coffers it coils,
Rigged is the game, played on the chessboard of power,
Yet, the sands of time are nearing the final hour.

Sound the bell of vengeance, let its echo fill the night,
A tempest of retribution, in the face of the spite,
Against the tide of treachery, our wrath will stand tall,
Let the castle of deceit, crumble and fall.

From the ashes of the old, a phoenix shall rise,
Bearing the banner of truth, under the open skies,
The hour of reckoning is here, hear the clarion call,
The storm is upon us, let the tyrants fall.

On Karai
In golden grace, she danced her whirl,
A wonderful girl, a radiant pearl,
But in her heart, a fire unfurled,
And so she roared as a dragon, the wonder of the world.
On Blunt
What's that reaction? Its a distraction,
He is the reason, that we are legion,
The gold he offers, is all we need for our coffers,
And so we gather, all to barter.

In Ilmater's Grace, They Dwell

In hallowed halls, 'neath twilight's shroud,
Stand they steadfast, humble, unbowed,
Ilmater's chosen, pure and sage,
In His name, they pen life's age.

To the sisters, to the priestesses fair,
Thy love, unending, ever shared,
Through trials borne, burdens shouldered,
Ilmater's mercy, by thee is told.

They toil 'neath solemn moon's soft light,
Their hearts aglow with holy might,
In whispered prayer, their hopes ascend,
Bearing solace that knoweth no end.

For every tear thou hast gently dried,
For the calm thy presence hath supplied,
In thy sacrifice, we find our path,
Ilmater's grace, thy aftermath.

In silent chapels, by candle's gleam,
Thy hands deliver the healing dream,
Through agony borne, for His holy name,
Thy servitude turns not to shame.

Thy labour, a testament to His Word,
In each act of kindness, His voice is heard,
To thee, His loyal, we owe our view,
Ilmater's glory, through thee shines true.

In gratitude, our voices soar high,
For thy love, that never shall lie,
Under Ilmater's benevolent reign,
Thou hast turned our sorrow to gain.

So my previous songs on nobility and so on were a bit angry. To balance it out I thought I should write something in said theme but with a bit of humour. Now the contrast of a childrens song about such a topic made me chuckle so here we go.
ABCs of Toppling Nobility

A is for Anarchy, a change in reign,
B for the Battles, through pain we gain,
C is the Castle, where the nobles dwell,
D is the Dungeon, their future cell.

Topple the nobility, rise, commoners, rise,
Dawn is breaking under new skies,
In the heart of the kingdom, freedom's song rings,
End the era of lords and kings.

E for the Empathy, forgotten by the throne,
F is for Freedom, a seed we have sown,
G for the Greed that the royals possess,
H is Hope, our weapon, no less.

Topple the nobility, rise, peasants, rise,
Dawn is breaking, behold the surprise,
In the heart of the kingdom, justice swings,
End the era of lords and kings.

I is for Iron, our will so strong,
J for Justice, righting the wrong,
K is for the Kingdom, soon to be free,
L is for Liberty, our decree.

Topple the nobility, rise, workers, rise,
Dawn is breaking, claim your prize,
In the heart of the kingdom, equality sings,
End the era of lords and kings.

M for the Monarchy, destined to fall,
N for the Nobles, they'll lose it all,
O is for Oppression, we'll fight till it's gone,
P for the People, who will carry on.

Topple the nobility, rise, fighters, rise,
Dawn is breaking, no more lies,
In the heart of the kingdom, liberation wings,
End the era of lords and kings.

Q for the Quest, to set us all free,
R is for Revolution, it's our decree,
S for the Serfs, no longer slaves,
T for Tyrants, who'll find their graves.

Topple the nobility, rise, dreamers, rise,
Dawn is breaking, see the sunrise,
In the heart of the kingdom, a new day brings,
End the era of lords and kings.

U for Unity, our strength in fight,
V for Victory, we claim the night,
W for the Will, of people so strong,
X marks the spot, where we belong.

Topple the nobility, rise, builders, rise,
Dawn is breaking, seize the prize,
In the heart of the kingdom, a bell now rings,
End the era of lords and kings.

Y is for the Youth, the future we mold,
Z for the Zeal, our spirit bold,
Now we've reached the end, from A to Z,
A new world order, where we're all free.

Topple the nobility, rise, children, rise,
Dawn is breaking, no more cries,
In the heart of the kingdom, a new era begins,
Ended, forever, the era of lords and kings.
And to contrast the admittedly dark topic albeit however funny, here is something completely different.

A romance song about a forbidden love! Romance! Intrigue! A Secret tryst!
Dance of the Veiled Sun

In twilight's realm, 'neath silver glow,
A flame doth dance in morning's show,
A beacon tall in light's delight,
Yet to shadow's love, takes his flight.

A whisper comes from moon's dark sphere,
In night's domain, dawn's rival's here,
In their silent dance, stars collide,
Two souls entwined, their love must hide.

In the dance of sun so veiled,
Two spirits twine, secretly hailed,
'Neath the silent sky's watchful eye,
In secret bloom, their love doth lie.

Within the realm where dreams unfold,
A tale of light and dark retold,
He, the dawn, that breaks the night,
She, the dusk, in shadow's light.

His radiance bathed in daylight's grace,
Her silhouette by moon's embrace,
Silent, star-crossed, their love endures,
In the dance of sun veiled, bond ensures.

In the dance of sun so veiled,
A secret battle, barely unveiled,
Against fate's decree, they'll make their stand,
Before love's command, no law can withstand.

She, the deep night, silent, profound,
He, the bright day, where shadows are found,
Betwixt twilight's veil, they seek their day,
In the dance of sun veiled, they sway.

In their hearts, a melody confined,
He is her sun, she is his twilight,
Destiny's prisoners, sorrow's prey,
Yet for love's tomorrow, they'd dare betray.

In the dance of sun so veiled,
A forbidden waltz, cannot be derailed,
Their love burns brighter than star's distant light,
Amid the shadows, amid the daylight.

The dance of sun veiled persists,
A testament to love's unyielding trysts,
In hushed whispers of the divine,
There, in twilight's veil, their stars align.

Na'Karia a Phoenix's flight

From black to red, the flame's embrace,
Cleansing thy soul with fiery grace.
In flickering hues, thy spirit's rebirth,
A change profound, the ashes unearth.

Phoenix's wings unfurl, taking flight in freedom's mirth.

I wanted to write a slightly more hopeful song about knights since not all of them are collared. So here is one vaguely inspired by an honourable man that I know.
The Knight, Unyielding

In the kingdom dark, under shroud of the night,
There didst tread a man, in armor of light,
The stonewalls echoed with the silence of dread,
Yet resolute were his steps, unyielding his tread.

"A quest I hath taken, and not shall I falter,
Even as shadows grow, and as my fears alter,
The morrow may bring death, or a destiny bleak,
Yet I am the knight, and 'tis justice I seek."

Steel in his hand, honor in his heart,
Unseen his enemy, yet ready to impart,
The might of his soul, the fire in his sight,
Steadfast in darkness, he is the unyielding knight.

Amongst the wicked, where greed and lust blend,
Foul whispers sought to break, what he'd sworn to defend,
"Abandon thine quest, embrace the deceit," they croon,
Yet his heart was firm, by the light of the moon.

"Thy siren song tempts, and 'tis easy to fall,
Yet I'm true to my oath, to the honor's call,
An island I'll remain, in this sea of spite,
I am the knight, and I stand for the right."

In the whirlwind of lies, in the abyss of fright,
Against the tide, stands the unyielding knight,
He seeks not the glory, nor the jewels of might,
In his heart, his purpose burns bright.

His heart beats a rhythm, an unending song,
Of valor and virtue, amidst all that is wrong,
Through tempest and turmoil, through endless night,
Holds steadfast his beacon, his internal light.

Unbowed and unbroken, he stands in the fight,
Amidst the chaos, the unyielding knight,
A symbol of hope, a beacon of light,
In the echoes of the dark, his tale we recite.

On this ancient canvas, his saga we etch,
A testament to valor, that time cannot stretch,
In the annals of lore, and in bard's delight,
Forever he'll be sung, the unyielding knight.
