DM Cleric, The Slanted Tower

Seems like ages ago now, it has at best been only a few seasons. A lone man walked up to the friendly Arm inn. He was a contractor, a man with the task of building a tower. This tower is meant for a certain amounts of spell casters to gather together and form there own society. We knew little about them back then. The contractor seemed pleasant enough though.

What drew my attention, was the fact that when he chose to build on a island we traveled to a dock on the coast. This dock was newly built and located just south of Candlekeep.

What I think I found odd, and what others might find odd is that a Large and ancient Devil stood waiting for us In front of the dock. He was lude, vulgar and violent. He gave the men who helped no choice but to fight. His roaring laugher as he struck blow after blow on the Champions of the sword coast. With bravery and skill the Devil drew his last breath, if he did indeed breath. The champions seemed more pumped up on action then Leary of fighting a century old foe.

Still they seemed to have enough since to question the contractor. He explained he knew almost nothing but to build a slanted tower, he said he had the help of the mages to bind the stone together. The champions worried but decided to let it go, for now.

I may be a little half mouse, and a little bard, and a little unseen by the eyes of the champions. but this put me on edge. very much so yes.
