The Silence spell can be targeted on the ground (in which case it does not move), or it can be cast directly against a single hostile target.

The NWN2 default implementation does not allow for casting on self and will not produce an aura effect when directly targeted.
Furthermore, the effects of silence (regardless of target or ground) are only 3-fold:
  • 100% Immunity to Sonic Damage
  • Inability to use Verbal spells
  • Inability to use Bardic Music
Unfortunately, to my knowledge, there is no move silent bonus.
I play a baker. Sometimes she provides counseling or treatment.
Ask about our Breadflower daily special to save five coppers off a purchase of five pastries.
She seems unusually interested in cursed items.
She has also been seeking a variety of gems and stones.

Silenced creatures actually are invalid targets to make Listen checks against. But you'd never notice that in NWN2, because unlike NWN1, invisible targets are also automatically inaudible at any distance (as opposed to needing to make Move Silently checks to get close to a creature without being seen).
