Kalinka Glasc, aka Snowberry.

Race : human-like (?)
Gender : female
Blood : half Rashemaar, half Damaran
Age : 28
Deity : Beshaba
Alignment : Chaotic Neutral
Occupation : “Crowdmanager”, even though there is nothing systematic about her take on such things...

Background :
Kalinka was the unpleasant daughter of a wild Rashemi huntress and a poor Damaran construction worker. Ever since the day she was born her life had felt a disaster and thus she turned pessimistic herself. Cause, whatever she did, nothing was ever good, especially to her own mother. From his side, her father considered Kalinka should be working and learning to use her hands as soon as she could walk. Her mother on other hand insisted Kalinka should learn the ways of the wild and how to provide for herself while on the move. From Kalinka’s perspective her parents did nothing but arguing, and even fought once (in a while). As soon as Kalinka did something good for one, she had failed in the eyes of the other. This eventually resulted in rebellic behaviour, but also with a few faint twisted traits.
Somehow and somewhere down the line she found solace in music. Not the classic sound, but the type with a taut rhythm, with furious crescendos and pandemoniacal climaxes. Actually she became quite energetic when listening to such and not soon after she started to learn her own sort of music. What she however first not realized was that her music was directly related to the Weave, and her performance had more than one effect on her audience.
For instance. One time, she left a tavern that had been ripped down by its patrons after a “modest” performance of hers. Witnesses were questioned and explained that during the rousing, invigorating music some guests had started fighting near the counter. A few began to throw with beer. Which in turn was met with chairs being bolted back. And it climaxed with a vibrant catchy melody and frenzied folks tossing each other on tables which broke apart.
During another occasion Kalinka was caught stealing fruit at a market. It took a full unit of city guards to arrest her, and even then she was fierce package. It was said that at least three guardsmen had been hospitalized after they finally managed to put her behind bars. Not because she had given them a beating. They pretty much had done it to themselves and each other. Especially after that event it was rumored in her village that she had been indirectly responsible for the behaviour between her parents.
And, it was also then that Kalinka was recruited by the Baron of Morov to operate in the provence’s army. She was obliged to serve for seven years, but her “contract” ended when the Witch-King Zhengyi took over entire Damara. This was someone or something she couldn’t fight or didn’t wish to work for. Her decision caused her to roam the land and for a brief moment she was grateful her mother had shown her how to survive. But that sentiment was short-lived. And as far as she knew her parents had died during one of the fights prior to the large scale event which transformed the country.
Kalinka visited Vaasa, but when the Witch-King’s ambition caught up with her there as well she started to move south and eventually west until she hit Baldur’s Gate. The journey itself had taken her nearly a year, and down that path she had seen more than often misery and suffering from other refugees. She and fellow countrymen were regularly treated as suspicious outsiders, put to work and only earning a pittance. But there were even far worse things.
From her perspective life just seemed one big chain of failures, unluck and misfortune. In such an overwhelming way it almost felt like someone’s masterpiece. The pieces of her puzzle fell together when she learned the first time about Beshaba in a deeper albeit confound way…

Abilities :
Kalinka’s music can incite strong emotions, pushing simmering frustrations to a boiling point. With a few cleverly crafted chords, she can turn friendly banter into heated arguments, and from there, to full-blown brawls. Her voice, layered with enchantments, can create a sense of unity among the crowd, but with a twist. Instead of fostering camaraderie, this unity manifests as a collective urge to release pent-up aggression. By plucking certain strings in quick succession, Kalinka can send a ripple of magical energy through the air. Those who hear it find their senses heightened, their inhibitions lowered, and their desire for a physical outlet amplified. Over the years she fine-tuned the music and the ability to use it to the specific case at hand.

Shortcomings :
She has a lot of those. At least that is what she thinks of herself. She considers her social life a disaster but somehow due her natural charisma people don’t always react like she often assumes. And what she assumes on that aspect is never good. According to herself she is just a wandering soul who belongs nowhere. Why also then become obsessed with other people’s problems, or why take time to study the local law or understand customs? It would only restrict her personal freedom.

First impressions :
Looking at Kalinka means looking at a pretty young woman. At the same time one may wonder if he/she ever can be responsible for the unveiling of many of the intricate complexities underlying Kalinka’s appearance.
She has long dark hair, slightly unkempt or as if it's been tousled by the wind. Her eyes, a deep stormy gray, can look at you without giving you the feeling they look at you. Her gaze carrying the weight of someone who has seen too much and trusts too little.
Her skin is fair but marked with a few faint scars, remnants of her harsh upbringing and the several skirmishes she's survived. Her general looks are more or less militaristic, but that may have something to do with her black armored outfit. There’s a touch of the theatrical in her appearance in the shape of a crimson sash tied around her quarterstaff attached to her back. It flows behind her like a sort of warning or bloodstain in the wind when she is on the move.

Plot hooks :
-She has a knack for choreography?

Moire Rouge : 'Coins are flat, and are meant to be piled up.'
Juniper : 'Your local tinkerer!'
Kitty -Less hell, more cat-
Athyna of Apecoe -Titan in progress-
Erickar Avery -More than meets the eye-
& Soraya, Jyn R., Bash B., Lux, Rift, Jezebeth, Isabel C., Depheant M., Sona K.
