So according to the description of Ranged Precision it "reduces your total attacks to 2 (before Rapid Shot/Haste)", which should give you 3 attacks per round with Rapid Shot activated, two at the highest BAB the third at the second highest BAB, but appaerntly it doesn't work in game.
When Ranged Precision and Rapid Shot are both activated you still get only two attacks per round, one at the highest BAB and one at the second highest, both also suffer the -2 attack penalty from Rapid Shot, just you don't get the extra attack benefit from it. It also has nothing to do with the activate sequence of the two abilities.

As i tested today, ranged precision + rapid shot does result in having 2 attacks.
I see that there is a difference between code and wiki, because ranged precision DOES actually "eat" rapidshot attack. It was so at least from 2022, more ancient history is unavailable to me.
I posted a question in staff so we decide what to do and what way should we fix this. Either update the wiki to reflect the factual status or change our code.
Generally, Ranged Precision allows for getting 5d6 dmg at cost of being limited to 2 attacks. Haste adds third attack which is not "eaten", so 3 apr total.
Excluding ranged precision would limit PC to 4 attacks which would double first flurry damage if they hit. Pretty much, it would change OOTBI to work similarly as xbow player that has xbow mastery feats. Thus, we need to consider if this is a balanced change.
