Physical description:
Elara is small for an Uthgardt woman, lacking the muscular bulk and raw fortitude of her kin. Her pale skin bears a few fine tattoos, connecting her to her tribe.
Upon closer inspection, there is something unusual about her complexion; the human flush of pink is absent from her cheeks, replaced by a cold, earthy pallor. In moments of casting, the capillaries beneath her skin may darken like fine roots or faintly gleam. Her eyes emphasize this otherworldliness—pale jade and faintly luminous, hinting at her celestial heritage.
A proud set of antlers adorns her head, crowned with fresh leaves and blooms.
Psychological description:
Initially, Elara may come across as cold, aloof, or stern—which, to be fair, she is. Her face rarely betrays an expression, presenting a deadpan shield to the world. However, still waters run deep, and there may be much more behind her reserve.
Like most druids, Elara is far more at ease in the wilds, where bare feet can dig into the grass and mud. Cities and crowds can be overwhelming and are things to be endured rather than experienced.
That said, she is not incapable of appreciating some of the finer marvels of civilization. Like her totem spirit, Elara has a curious mind that can easily be drawn to what is new and unusual.
Religious views:
Elara's faith is shamanic in origin. Though she follows the wisdom of the Nature Gods, she was born into the faith of Uthgar and the Earthmother. She honours and recognizes the Spirits of Nature, communing with them, seeking out their strengths, and weeding out their weaknesses within herself.
Ancestor:
An Avoral Guardinal known to Elara only as the "Great Raven Spirit". Within her clan, it is said that he mated with her great-great-grandmother Eira, a shamaness of the Earthmother. Over time, most stories of Eira and her spirit lover have been distorted through retelling.
Family
Sadly, Elara no longer has any immediate family members; undoubtedly, she would have cousins through the Uthgardt tribes.
History
Elara was born to an Uthgardt clan in the northmost reaches of the High Forest, but was wiped out by Orc raids. Elara has since travelled far, first to the ocean then further south.
