Foster father: Brother David of Torm
Mentor Paladin, who adopted him and other foundlings. Strict but very caring and kind. Being too old for performing an active duty as paladin, he is taking a role of mentor and arms instructor for aspirant holy warriors in Halls of Justice. As temple was known to found children left by their parents at it's doorsteps, brother David also spend his time raising Wards of Triad, teaching them tennents of each of three deities and controls battle training of those, who decides to serve Triad with sword and shield.
History
It was rainy night near end of Flamerule when a faint knock was heard all of the sudden at the doors of Halls of Justice. When warden opened them, he couldn't spot anyone at the first glance - District was quiet and streets were empty and peaceful. Thinking it was some sort of joke, man clad in armor was about to close the door but short glance down revealed a pressence of single soul still waiting at the doorframe. A child, barely few weeks old, wrapped in cloth and looking up at the sky, temple and helmeted man with surprising calmness for an infant. That night a new ward was accepted in to the walls of the temple.

Like many other Wards of Triad before and after him, Landar was in care of Ilmatari and Tormtar faithfuls. Former, in particular, were responsible for care of those who were too young and still were in need of wet nurses and foster mother in general. Once he was able to walk on his own, one Tormtar stepped in his life. Brother David of Torm was raising and educating Wards for several years and plenty of those who grow up under his mentorship already became either part of clergy in Halls of Justice or embarked on adventurers, spreading word and will of Loyal Fury to the Realm. It was no surprise to followers of Triad when he declared his decision to take another ward under his wing. Soon, new lessons started.

Rest of the early years of Landar were as peaceful as they could be in city of Splendors inside the one of the most protected places in said city. Learning the literacy and several languages, other people took remark on how easy it was for light-haired boy to grasp Celestial. Some thought it was because of the fact that he was hearing that language as often as Common, since plenty of priests were praying on that language. Others were more suspicious of him being something more than just an ordinary child, especially once young Landar, barely being six years old by that moment, conjured ball of warm yellowish light deep in the night in order to continue his reading. However, seeing how pure and devout boy was to teachings of Torm and activities of his clergy, noone dared to question his origins - and thus Landar himself is still oblivious to traces of celestial bloodline in his veins.

Once he became old enough, more complex trainings began. By that moment he already knew some basics of first aid after spending time witnessing and aiding adults who treated wounded. However, it still took many years for him to grasp knowledge of medical art to the point of being able to help those who were wounded in the open field and then help them recover once they were took into safety. Still, acolytes and priests of Ilmatari did great job in teaching him. Brother David, who was refered as "Father" by Landar since he started to speak, on other hand was responsible for his battle trainings, as he was doing that for many other Wards. Excercises were not easy and many of those in his care were falling unconcious from exhaustion after day of his training. However, fruits of such harsh treatment were obvious - even with relativly small frame and size, by the age of 17 Landar was able to wield and properly use wide selection of weapons and already was comfortable enough to spend full day in medium or even heavy armor. Obviously, every mentor has his own style and Landar adopted fighting methods of his foster father, favoring heavy shields over others and even some weapons.

Of course, such behaviour couldn't go unnoticed by brother David - even if it wasn't unique. After raising practically a generation, he was used to the fact that boys will do their best to become as good as his father figure. That was warming his heart - and bring great concerns for their safety. That was the reason why before Landar left Waterdeep in order to aid people of other regions and answer the call of Loyal Fury, he send boy to one of his friend.
