Should be a little less brain assaulting now, "fixed" the colour portion of the problem. I should really fix the bubbles now too but that sounds like a lot of effort for little, so they stay.
@ Flodarion. Most of the image has soft tapering edges that clash with the crisp nature of a lot of the detail, coupled with the difference in background and foreground's lighting is probably what is giving you that "wired sensation". It wouldn't have been this bad if I hadn't changed my mind on the background halfway through...
Alas I can't really fix the edges part, I don't have Photoshop to play with layers and so on.
