A letter is left at the White Mask. It is written on high quality paper with a very fine ink, the envelope is marked with a wax seal from the temple of Lathander in Beregost and also bears a wax signet stamp depicting an open palm radiating sunlight.
To the artists at the White Mask.
I want to start of by saying congradulations on your premiere performance. I was not able to attend personally but I have heard nothing but wonderful reviews and beaming remarks about your opening play. I am Davian Halren, a monk and priest of the Radiant Fist and a member of Lathanders Temple in Beregost. I have begun to seek out anyone with a talent for entertaining, either troupes of performers or individuals with a like and talent for entertaining their viewers. I would be a fool if i did not write this letter to you to request a meeting so I can personally offer you a chance to bring your wonderful talents beyond the White Mask. I would love to meet with any or all of your performers to discuss the possability of arrangeing a mobile performance peice (or many) during the Faire i am attemping to gather resources and interested individuals for.
It will be beneficial for everyone to see this faire get off the ground, it will boost the morale of everyone and should take some of the edge off the dark nights we all know so well. I hope it will also be a boon to the economic prosperity of everyone involved as well and for your performers guild, mayhap the advertiseing will draw more people to your considerable skill at the work you do. I can be reached at the friendly arm inn or the temple of Lathander in Beregost, I eagerly await your reply.

Mia checks the drop box out of habit as she enters the Theatre and curiously picks up the letter. She reads it over as she heads to the desk in her room, nodding thoughtfully to herself. She writes a return letter and hands it to a messenger with instructions to find Davian.

Re: The White Mask Theater & Performers Guild - RP Thread
A man arrives at the White Mask, a letter clutched in his hand and a smile on his face. "So this is the White Mask huh? Looks like a nice enough place." He chuckles brightly as he stops in front of the great doors and surveys the theater hall from the outside and the immediate vicinity. It was certainly a far better state and location than he was used to when he was asked to provide protection for an establishment... But then again he was used to taverns and holes in the wall, not a high-class theater like the white mask. It was the luck of Tymora herself that found him here, he had been sitting by a fire outside the Friendly Arms Inn one moment, the next he was offered employment... Under his assumed name of Samual Clay of course.
A cushy job it seemed like. He was short for a man, but despite his unassuming looks he stood out in the area, his armor heavy and cruel looking and the huge axe slung across his back added considerable bulk to him so that the more gentile citizens of the district gave him curious looks and a wide berth. He flexed his fingers in his leather gauntlets and moved to the doors of the establishment, knocking loudly on the heavy doors.
Mia Desdemona had offered him a job, all he had to do was show up the nights of the performances and make sure none of the crowd got too disruptive... He wouldn't even need his axe if the people around were any indication of the kind of people who would be causing the trouble. The more he saw, the more he liked the whole situation. He had come early so that he could examine the site for himself, just to get a feel for it and a picture of how it would be best handled.

As the sun rises above the city of Baldur's Gate and its inhabitants reluctantly get up for work, a young human man, wearing simple adventuring garb and with his head uncovered, strides confidently from the Docks into the Palace District. He, catiously, enters the Theatre, looks around with a somewhat satisfied smile and deeply inhales. Says something to himself and grins mischieviously as he spots Carl, who is too busy with his morning chores to notice a visitor. He sneaks up on him and loudly says "Boo", which startles the old man and results in a brief chase scene. Few moments later, two men are laughing and greeting each other as old acquaintances. They spend awhile sharing anecdotes and various amusing stories and laughing merrily. The visitor hands Carl a folded parchment and, snickering, asks him to pass it to the 'Misstress'. Custodian nods eagerly, they exchange light thuds on the shoulder and the early visitor leaves, vanishing in the streets of a rousing metropolis.

Re: The White Mask Theater & Performers Guild - RP Thread
Laughs erupted from the White Mask Theatre this past Open Stage Night, as the comedy theme was met with full force. A great number of folks came out to watch, and many chuckle-inducing acts were performed for the delight of the audience.
Aearion Caunwaithon opened the night with a joke he had heard back in Cormyr about a dwarf relieving himself in a tavern.
Theatre Director Mia Desdemona also contributed another joke about dwarves in taverns, and then another tavern joke.
Bardess Elycia Innovius contributed a few limericks to the evening.
Mia offered another joke, this time involving orcs.
Mealir delighted the audience with a joke, as well.
A man named Thel made a dirty joke with innuendo.
Beowulf McClay offered many a joke, involving such subjects as parrots, warriors, and dwarves.
The Candlekeep Guide Wendel made a surprisingly well-received joke that implied men were brighter than ladies.
Thiago also contributed to the jokes of the evening.
An adventurer named Teray made a joke involving portly ladies.
Beowulf then visited the stage for a second time to make a dirty joke about fruit.
At the end, all of the performers were called up to to a vote, and the audience decided whom their favorite was of the night. Guide Wendel was named the winner with his misogynistic quip, and he won a fine ring.
The next Open Stage Night, with an autumnal theme, is highly anticipated, just days away.

The White Mask Theatre went traveling to the Lion's Way this past tenday, to celebrate the coming of the Autumn season. They set up stage on the bridgeway towards Candlekeep, folks sitting up on the hill to enjoy the delightful performance in the cool outdoor air.
Theatre Director Mia Desdemona started with a song to celebrate the change in season to Autumn.
Fildith Coppertop then continued with a poetic story involving trees.
Elycia Innovius then took to the stage, and sang a song of lovers in Autumn.
Etto Voloc then performed a cryptic poem about the coming winter.
A change of pace, the triad Ralston Dash, Lotrik and Louise performed a short political skit.
Valqis Sanejmeh, Assistant Director, performed a lighthearted and entertaining song named, 'Rigs of Barley'.
Fildith then took the stage again with a tale about about his childhood, including where he got terrible burns.
Mia Desdemona then recited a poem, involving a tree and leaflets.
Valqis then rounded out the night with her song, 'Contented Country Lass.'
When all was done, the performers were again called to the stage, and votes from the audience were taken. After a close competition, Elycia Innovius emerged the winner and received a fine pair of gloves, although all performers had a good showing.
The Theatre Director announced at the conclusion of the evening that the next Open Stage Night would be held back in the White Mask Theatre in Baldur's Gate, and the theme would be riddles. It is highly anticipated to be a most interesting show!

As Mia walks away from the show she can be heard humming the tune of her opening song.

Patrons were delighted this past Open Stage Night at the White Mask Theatre in the Palace District, with a number of fantastic pieces honoring the goddess Selune. The show was hosted by the Assistant Director Valqis Sanejmeh, and funded by theatre patron Anden Tremelaine.
Valqis started off the evening well with a lovely song involving dancing under Selune.
Wendel Ashby then offered a poem about the Moonmaiden.
Don-Juevo del Castillo, a surprising half-orc, shared a personal anecdote, mentioning that he owes his life to Selune.
Elycia Innovius then sang a song involving a Selunite woman and a lycanthrope.
In between performances, Valqis shared interesting lore about Selune and her followers.
To round out the evening, the merchant Delphinn Veil performed a piece that was not his, but was about The Lady Moon.
In the end, all of the performers were called to the stage and votes were cast by the audience. Elycia Innovius won a most fine ring. The White Mask Theatre looks forward to the tenday next, for another excellent show.

A splendid evening was had by all in the White Mask Theatre in the Palace District of Baldur's Gate this past tenday, at the Open Stage Night, which featured the theme of 'Light'.
To start off the evening, the theater Guard performed a magic trick where he resembled the sun.
Aearion and Alison performed a song together, “Turn on your love light.”
Next, Elycia sang a song, which involved the Spider Swamp of Calimshan.
Alison the Harlequin performed another piece, an old ballad.
Mia Desdemona, the Theatre Director, then did perform a fantastic song.
To round out the performances for the evening, a ranger named Toshiro did some animal handling with a dire wolf, which involved riding around upon it on the stage.
At the conclusion, a vote was called from the audience for their favorite piece. Alison and Elycia tied, and received gold, although Alison honorably declined hers and donated it to the Theatre.
Theatre patrons are looking forward to the next Open Stage night to be held near Doron Amar, with the theme of 'Heroes'.
