A few weeks ago some trade caravans went to Waterdeep, I guess it was by that road. Unless there are some mysterious reasons I don't see why not ?

AFAIK, the ongoing server-wide meta plot halted all sea traffic* along the Sword Coast. Pirates sail the coast looking for their next victim as far north as Waterdeep. The roads were also blocked until recently (a month ago) cleared by IG activities.

* Candlekeep's research vessel Sea Seeker did "run the blockade" once.

PC2 = Valqis Sanejmeh; far away cartographer, Oracle of Nut at chaltin QulDaq, former navigator of the Sea Seeker, Reader of Candlekeep and sometime performer.

So I'm having a bit of trouble finding information about the church of Mielikki. Unfortunately Mielikki is one of those gods that underwent some changes for 2nd edition. Mystra is the other

So the second edition church of Mielikki is structured so that it has 3 sections

The heartwoods - tree peoples
The forest arms - Mostly cleric, few druids
The needles - rangers

Specifically thing is the part about the church of Mielikki

"In 1369 DR, Mielikki ordered the reorganization of her church and reintroduced druids among her clergy to counter the waning of her faith. (...) They are now organized into three branches of devotion: the Heartwoods, the Forestarms, and the Needles. " http://www.nj-pbem.com/data/Gods/humangods/Mielikki.htm

As far as I have read, the first edition church of Mielikki is NOT structured, the needles and the forest arms don't exist. In fact, I don't even think you can be a druid of Mielikki and be lorewise correct.

Am I interpreting things correctly here? Does anybody have some first edition sources about the church of Mielikki? I'm guessing the message hasn't changed much but I'm curious on nomenclature here.

Would it be appropriate, if we find that there is a lack of information on Mielikki, to say the church is starting to make these changes in the Baldur's Gate area, including letting druids worship Mielikki and be a part of the church?

I don’t think there is much more than this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auppenser

and this:

Jhaamdath was a militaristic psiocracy (government by psionicists), one of the few on Toril. This ancestor of present Chondath was founded circa –5800 DR and destroyed in –255 DR by elven high mages of Nikerymath. Their tutelar divinity was Auppenser.

If you can search for a .pdf of Lost Empires of Faerun there may be a bit more there than on wiki, but I can’t specifically recall (and I don’t have access to the resource right now).

I have a deity question for anyone who cares to enlighten me...

I imagine it would be a little unusual or a little rare, but would it be entirely unheard of for a human to strongly worship a deity of the elven pantheon?

Mechanically in the game options for example, a human can't choose Solonor Thelandira as their deity... Is this a mechanical restriction in NWN2 or is there a lore reason stating that a human simply could not/would not do this?

I'd think it's more of a "would not" sort of deal.

It's absolutely possible in the Lore for a human to worship one or more of the Seldarine. It's also possible for an elf to worship human deities, even if the elf in question was born on Evermeet (see, for example, the Lathander-worshiping http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Jander_Sunstar).

In the elven "heaven," the plane of Arvandor, "even those few who were not elves in their mortal lives," are represented among the petitioners (the souls living there in their afterlife). They appear as elves here, even if they were human or dwarven or other in real life.

Ah thank you! I was reading on the wiki humans occasionally worshiped Solonor, but only in recent centuries... Since I couldn't find a frame of reference for that I was worried it might conflict with the server timeline.

From Forgotten Realms - Spellbound manual, pages 38 and 39. This is second edition, but besides mechanics, this should all be correct.

Temple of Lolth
The spider queen of the drow is a popular deity among the humans of Thay. Her temple is a black dome covered in silver spiderwebs, with the drow inscription Lolth tlu malla; jal ultrinnan zhah xundus (Lolth be praised; all vicotry is her doing) inscribed in gleaming letters over its portal. Worshipers attend midnight ceremonies here, dressed in long black robes and often decorated with pigments and wigs to make them look like drow. The drow themselves often attend these services and there are always one or two at the temple.

Thayan priestess Rhytella (CE hf C9) considers herself only an acolyte, although she has the authority over her entire congregation. The "real" high priestess of Bezantur's temple of Lolth is Triel Teienna (CE ef C12), a drow of the underdark who visits the temple every few months to oversee operations, indulge in a few sybaritic pleasures, and choose a handful of human followers to accompany her back to her realm. Exactly what happens to these chosen humans is not known; none has ever returned, but this does not lessen the fervor of Lolthes congregation in Bezantur. Instead, most are of the opinion that the chosen humans are living lives of decadent splendor deep underground with their drow "brethren."

Is there anywhere I can find specific prophecies of Alaundo? Specifically about the Time of Troubles and/or Mystra's deaths (both Time of Troubles and The Year of Blue Fire)?

Speaking of, it's been a long time since I read it, but which book is it that dealt with the deaths of Kelemvor, Bane and the Rise of Cyric. Also, did that take place in current BG lands, or nearby?
