a magician Nemna was making statements alongside the woman she helped carry the culprit to the guardhouse...
"He walked on us sitting in a common room (of the Winthrop's Inn), seemingly friendly. But then he began to incantate and his hands glowing with magical energies, we asked him to leave, but he would not. Instead, more incantations were made. There was a devil summoned!" - she would add as the one who just seen something horrific in an unlikely place.

//well, I didn't realy had to involve in PvP, it was dealt with fast, but have some SS of it too.
I put on my robe and a wizard hat...

// yes after you kept up the crazy attack buffs and insane emotes lol. Once you continued the offensive buffs you were fair and open game. . . no ones going to wait and see what happens when a mad man is incanting bad offense spells to see what happens hehe.

While walking the grounds, one of the Acolytes overhears what transpired at Winthrop's establishment . . "Bout bloody time someone offed that nutter, if you ask me."

Hoihe groans and waves the case aside: "I had enough of dealing with insane people for the moment and that description tells me he isn't in need of help regarding the Far Planes or the damned gems either. I'll let Laitae or Teo handle it." then goes back to drinking with Stanley.

// I'm just going to wait for the DMs to either handle this or comment on it. Summoning a devil inside Candlekeep should be considered metagaming as the guards would have been all over him.

// Very good point. It should simply not be possible.

The OOC issues here should not have been posted publicly. They should have been sent directly to the DMs via PM. Since this is becoming more of an OOC argument between players, I am locking this thread, but addressing two issues that players should be aware of.
Solarina wrote:this man summoned an undead and demon with the keeps walls and had to be subdued
Summoning anything into Candlekeep should be impossible, regardless of NPC guards. Candlekeep is warded against teleportational magic, which prevents summoning a devil from the Hells.
Hitman Hard wrote:///they toggled hostile on me first for the record, thanks for the RP
When someone toggles you hostile, that is not an automatic greenlight for PvP. It does not even mean that PvP will necessarily happen. Toggling hostile is an OOC mechanical thing; it is only done for mechanical reasons. Some spells only work when your target is hostiled, so that is why the rules require you to toggle hostile before PvP. ICly, you should ignore any hostile toggling, because it doesn't necessarily mean anything.
