Ok, I was wrong. This is the first time that I have tried to play my OOBI since it went down.

Ras, the ranged precision is not working. On the UI you had to hit the extended range button to fire your ranged precision and now when you try to use it, you get told that ability has been disabled. It will not fire off. The other buttons available are deadeye shot, sharpshooter and richocet shot.

Yes we know, that what's this post is about. Luna disabled ranged precision / extended precision for now. But then people were posting that it wasn't working before. Which isn't the case as you point out, since it did work. I am not sure where that confusion originated from.

It did work as you said, I used it all the time and was part of Ravens RP skills (to shoot something at a very long distance) and I want it back :(

Now sharpshooting was something i had an issue with, trying to make it work, maybe i just didnt figure out how to do it

Ow snap i mis the bread and butter (Extended Range) of this class alot.

And for Sharp Shooting you need to target a monster/player and click the Sharpshooting button then you stand still and wait till you see a Concentration check come up in your combat log if you pass the check you can click the Sharp Shooting button once more and you wil fire a arrow.

You can pass a concentration DC evry round up to 4 rounds to get a mega shot if you pass all DC or just shoot after you pass 1 , 2 or 3 DC checks.

(The concentration DC checks are harder to pass if your far away from the target awel)

It will probably be a few more days before I can merge in Rasaels work.
It's just not the highest priority item right now.

Can the requirements have Heavy and light Crossbows as an option as well, rather then just Long or short bows.

I believe this class is specifically about using bows I fear.

I see nothing in the nature and feel of the class RP wise that would lend it's self only to bows. Precision shooting is the key feature of the class' style after all.

Actually bows and crossbows are quite different.

Bows are specialized weapons that required an almost lifelong dedication. Training from early age and good physical shape to operate in an degree of efficiency.

The crossbow on the other hand, was developed so that a large amount of conscripts could be quickly trained and deployed in a short amount of time. It was cheap and much easier to use, not having nearly the same requirements to be efficient.

This is not meant to shun the crossbow as an easy and inferior weapon. In fact, one might even say the opposite really. it's better because it is easy. But the point here is that the Order of the Bow Initiate is a class specifically designed for the use of he bow and elevate it to an art form.

That being said. I wouldn't mind a similar class for crossbowmen. My post is simply to point out that Bows and Crossbows are in fact quite different instruments.
