*After having left the party to get my Warforged’s mummy rot cured and running for about 20 hours straight, I was chased down by a griffon right near the edge of town.*

Me: I punch the griffon. *Rolls*
DM: It hits for 8 damage. It’s now your turn.
Me: I attack again. *Rolls*
DM: It hits for 12 damage. You just killed a griffon by yourself…
Me: Whoo! What’d I get?
DM: 200 gold and… *Stares dumbfounded.* A ring of feather falling…
Everyone at the table: *Uncontrollable laughter*
