so dire charge is worth much more if you can cast enlarge spell

1d8 turns to 2d6 per hit

I don't recall exactly but I'm inclined to say not. There is a chance I fixed that though but I wouldn't count on it also affecting the damage.

Well it would be quite the damage increase, but still if you can Enlarge and Power Charge with +12 Knockdown bonus total on top of strength, your target is going to have to be immune somehow or it's certainly going down! :o
