Mira was born in 1313 DR, four years after her brother Toby and six years after her sister Vera. The children helped their mother Freda and father Bohen keep a small farm outside Corm Orp by working the field and watching over the hogs and chickens. Their work never ended, but they were happy in each other's company and owed nothing to anyone. This would change, however, on a late summer evening in 1322 DR as Mira went into the field to look for her cat Silas.
At first thinking she found her cat, Mira was soon forced to hide in a nearby haystack as several dark figures rushed toward the farmhouse with torches in their hands. Mira wanted to scream and alert her family, but fear had her paralyzed. As the house went ablaze her family ran outside, only to be cut down screaming by the goblins' axes, spears and bolts. Finally her senses returned and Mira ran away crying, toward town, but fell and hit her head on a rock.
She woke up in Corm Orp's Temple of the Mother, under the care of brother Nolan Mudfoot. Now an orphan, the temple would become her closest family as time did its best to heal her mental trauma. This succeeded to an extent; Mira began to forget details of her old family and siblings, with temple teachings taking their place. Before her 30th birthday she could hardly remember her prior family at all, but Mira had become a quiet shell of her former youth.
In 1345 DR she and brother Nolan agreed on a voyage to Beregost; a plague had spread north from Amn into the town, and matriarch Macanester feared another malady would soon strike the Sword Coast, needing their order's services. The further away from home Mira went, the more her fragile self-esteem dwindled; only brother Nolan's experience and dedication gave her courage in these foreign lands. They rented rooms in Feldepost's Inn and sought out the sick in need of aid.
After surviving the plague, a great frost ruined the farmland crops in 1346 DR as the matriarch had predicted. The two priests traveled now to Baldur's Gate and did their best to help farmers regrow their crops and maintain the soil underneath. Brigands began terrorizing the farms that winter, and her mentor was slain as Mira ran off to gather reinforcements. On her return, brother Nolan gave his equipment, lexicon and last orders to Mira with his dying breath.
Now alone again, Mira helps maintain the farmlands around Baldur's Gate. Memories of her family have started to resurface and keep her awake at night, so she often resorts to sleeping draughts and herbal tea to calm her keen senses. Patrolling the farmlands alone at night is dangerous for a Halfling, but instead of seeking help Mira has grown excessively reliant on blessings from the Watchful Mother; she is now afraid to leave Baldur's Gate without them.
