Duracele, that is an amazing and eye opening book. Definitely not the feel good read of the year, but will empower you.

Re: The What I'm READING Thread!
I recently finished A Game of Thrones (the first book in A Song of Ice and Fire). Before I read the next book in the series, I'll be reading Paradisio (the third book in Dante's Divine Comedy).

Re: The What I'm READING Thread!
Well, since I read through a few books a week, I'll just post a couple of my favourites, and what I've just finished.
Great series: Way of Shadows (series)- Brent Weeks
Last Mythal trilogy (FR)
Return of the Archwizards (FR)
Just finished: the Dwarves (four books) Markus Heitz
Awesome series if you enjoy dwarves being portrayed as the awesome force they are supposed to be.

Some people say if you can't do something right, don't do it at all...I say maybe you just need more practice...?

I've been getting back into reading. My family is hugely into science-fiction and fantasy, so I always get suggestions. My grandmother suggested this series, The Dragonprince Trilogy.

I am actually a huge RE-reader of fantasy literature. I typically re-read Robert Jordan, R.A. Salvatore, Terry Brooks and Terry Goodkind's series' every year or two. Currently finishing up another go round of Goodkind's "Sword of Truth" series.

Re: The What I'm READING Thread!
Just finished rereading Frank Herbert's DUNE. First read it about 20 years ago. Upon second read I appreciated its many subtleties even more. Truly the "Ultimate Masterpiece of Science Fiction" that it proclaims.
Got my sights on Neal Stephenson's "The Diamond Age" next. A bit worried that it won't hold up agains the awesomeness of Snow Crash, but I'm willing to give it a go!

One of the best fantasy stories I ever read.
The Elenium is a series of fantasy novels by David Eddings. The series consists of three volumes:
The Diamond Throne
The Ruby Knight
The Sapphire Rose

Thanks to DM Mouse, and a friend who lent me their e-Reader, I can now start to read the Riftwar Saga by Raymond E. Feist. <3

Uh, it's not exactly reading but I've picked up Joe Dever's Lone Wolf series again.

Elminster in Myth Drannor
Elminster: The Making of a Mage
Elves of Evermeet
My top three of the Forgotten Realms. I rarely read any other fantasy books. I "grew up" on the FR novels and can honestly say I've read about 90% of the novels that take place in that setting.
Starting 'The Herald' soon, the last book in the Sundering Series and happy to be jumping back into that world via a book vice online RPing

Re: The What I'm READING Thread!
Blood Song is one of my favorite books, one I always seem to go back to reading. It's first book of the fledgling Raven's Shadow series. Unfortunately the bad reviews for the second book, Tower Lord, has kept me from continuing the story. Maybe someday...
