Mythrill chain shirt

Unread post by pwdcrk1 »

hi all i was wondering if it wouldn't be correct that a mythrill chain shirt counts as a cloth more than a light armor since the base chain shirt is already a light armor and mythrill scales down of one class the armor you made of ....

i know that by original design it counts as light armor anyway my doubt is if that is correct or one of the may bugs this game suffers

hey just a doubt ;)

It's still classified as light armor.

Agree that it should be counted as cloth. Unlikely it will change.

Even in PNP it's still light armor... Why would we change it?

Didn't know it was armor in PnP. I was just following the logic of moving it down one classification. Wasn't trying to sound negative about it not being changed, just meant that it wouldn't be a high priority and there are bigger things to be changed.

Pretty much this. IMHO, adding metal shoulder pads and arm guards to cloth should probably warrant an ASF bump.
PC1 = Nerys, Emissary and Skald of the Greyfox tribe, roaming north near Secomber
PC2 = Valqis Sanejmeh; far away cartographer, Oracle of Nut at chaltin QulDaq, former navigator of the Sea Seeker, Reader of Candlekeep and sometime performer.

No one wants to see that! We'll just pretend those metal shoulder pads are cloth- because reasons.

Shoulder pads etc are just cosmetic, they do not add any AC. If they did, it would make more sense to add something like ASF. As it is, I do not think it is necessary as long as someone does not make a full set of armor in the Toolset and labels it as cloth...

as i said it was just a doubt/curiosity anyway its a shame that basically just 2/3 types of armor are good there is no use for many of them even if made on ultra rare metals like mythrill ... for instance i found a myth scale mail ... useless its better an enchanted (+3) cloth and a bit of dex ... i only say its a shame :)
