Re: Server vault wipe?
Personally, I don't care what others have. I don't care if others are powerbuilders, minmaxers, or stunting their own characters for RP reasons. I don't care if they have "grandfathered" gear, or have made millions of gold. What I care about is did my interaction with them effect my character? Did I enjoy the RP? Numbers don't matter much to me, honestly, but how someone portrays their character and interacts with the world and myself is a little more important. Yes, I want to be able to hit the goblin. Yes, I don't want to die every 10 minutes because I have low AC or saves. I don't think a server wipe would change much, outside of people being upset that they wasted x months/years trying to improve their gear and characters. I think it'll be a no for me. Would I survive a wipe? Sure, but I'm about to roll a new character anyways for a fresh start.

Seems like a good way to piss people off.
Personally I would probablly stop playing. Most of my characters were leveled when I had more time to play now, when I sign in I don't have time to commit to leveling them all over again. I don't want to have to go back to playing naive level 1 noobs.

A good idea in theory maybe. Personally I would not care if the server wiped. Not as a way to level the playing field, But just for the fun of watching everyone start over again. What new characters would we see? what new RP might develop? That said I think it is a horrible idea. We must show respect for the countless hours people have put in to developing there characters and acquiring there fortunes. To just wipe all that investment in time away, With out giving the player a say in the matter, Is outrageous. BG would never fully recover. Anyone who wants to wipe can do so on there own right here

I agree... I see people complain about the server and some being in general, quite unhappy. I have always said it and will continue to say it - if you do not enjoy playing on BGTSCC, there are other servers out there. Trying to change BGTSCC to something which it is not, is not going to work and just lead to bad feelings. Not everyone will agree to your view of the "perfect server" as we each have our own opinions of what that is. One man's paradise is another man's hell.chambordini wrote:All of those folks that think of server wipe-like ideas are really just thinking of a different server. You need to embrace what BGTSCC is, when suggesting changes, and that some things can't be changed.

Interesting test results. My stand point is simple. While I would survive I pick no. It would cause to much chaos.
I honestly though it was going to be 90 no and maybe 5% yes. The last 5% would be undecided/not taking.
