When you say new vs old PC what do you mean and which part is broken and fixed? I am still showing 2 gnome and 2 arcane languages on my screen, and I think this is preventing me from choosing any new languages as I level up.

Nerys' Illuskan appears in the list but translation only adds ' between each letter. Valqis Mulhorundi does not show up at all; instead have double Common. Tested with new test-elf and six languages all worked. Created another new PC with Mulhorandi and it works. Language issues seem confined to existing PCs.

"Old PC" is one that existed prior to March 5 when we started all of this new content.

Languages -

Made a new PC. Half-Elf druid to test the language. Several languages were not available until I logged out, like Teran, Ignan, Draconic, etc. But my core languages did not show Animal until after relogging (or maybe from server reset) and do not have Elven at all. Even now.

If the text is this color, I am on duty, everything else is just my humble opinion.

I just summoned the elite vampire, it does not gain passive stats from augment summoning.
Screened it , will upload later in a bit of a rush atm.
No idea how your elite vampire shows the stat increase while mine clearly has the same stats as the link I just showed.
While I have augment summoning as thaumaturge.
It is not applied one way or the other.


Planar Cohort is suppose to function as an animal companion or along those lines.
It's a permanent ally, not a summon.
It has always worked like that.
If it vanishes after you summon something else it isn't working.


Tested both still the case.
Transition seems to work, haven't tested it in the mines yes though.

It is not applied one way or the other.
It might not be working because the Elite Vampire is a feat-based summon, not an actual spell. Augment Summoning does not affect my Animal Companion, for example.

Though maybe it was changed intentionally since Elite Vampire is not a Conjuration [Summoning] spell and technically shouldn't be affected by Augment Summoning? Same reason Contingent Summoning is not supposed to work with the Pale Master summons, as mentioned in your previous thread a few weeks ago.

It works just fine with Summon Creature IX, and Phantom Bear, both Conjuration [Summoning] spells. It spawns first with the buffs, then makes them natural so that you can buff them further. This is how it is intended to work, based on posts the devs/QC have made on these forums in the past.

Well, right now I am able to have two permanent companions (Animal Companion + Perma Summon). I was walking around with the same Phantom Bear (a 1 round/clevel) summon for over an hour, enough time to do every quest. So Planar Cohort is working. The question is if it is working in the way it is intended to. If this is an intended change, then it's something that the devs should make clear, I think.

I do feel it's rather iffy for the people who picked Thaumaturge for the ability to have both a Planar ally companion and a normal summon. They should really still get that option.

Not sure if it was fixed yet, the update that update that was on March 10th (yesterday) didn't fix the Shadow Adept skill list. Shadow Adept says it has disguise as a skill but remains greyed out when taking a level in it.

Will add it based on this reference unless someone finds a higher-level precedent, such as BG DM ruling, to the contrary.

Still unable to cast spells from the 2nd prohibited school with my Red Wizard.

The dev team is working on updating all classes regarding the new lore skills, disguise and escape artist.

We are looking into this.
I've been told that we could choose our second prohibted school, correct? (I even got the feat but it is not working)

I don't know if this is update related, but I RCRed my character and suddenly I couldn't pick melee weapon mastery as a fighter bonus feat at 12th fighter level. I could do it a level later as a regular feat. Seeing as builds with 12 fighter levels take that 12th level in the epics, this forces them to sacrifice an epic feat for it. In my case I lose out on EDM if I want mwm.

I'll hold off on leveling my weaponmaster for his final level until the fix. No biggie! :)

I know we talked about Techsmith of Gond being available to Wizards as well as Cleric but the class only specifies Cleric.. Will this be fixed?

Is the "specifies" a written description problem and/or physical cannot-select it problem?

Reason being, the TLK file is where the description is located. The other is in class 2da files.
PC1 = Nerys, Emissary and Skald of the Greyfox tribe, roaming north near Secomber
PC2 = Valqis Sanejmeh; far away cartographer, Oracle of Nut at chaltin QulDaq, former navigator of the Sea Seeker, Reader of Candlekeep and sometime performer.
