You acquire the quest and go searching for the sailors.

First Journal entry:

I've met Captain Calico Flint at the docks in Baldur's Gate who is having difficulty rounding up the crew of his ship, The Greedy Eel. I've offered to find his men for him, who will most likely be drinking in the taverns of the docks district. Looks like it's time to go find some drunk sailors.

These sailors have spread around the city, not just the docks. Perhaps the orange part should be: drinking in one of the shadier taverns in Baldur's Gate.

Second Journal entry:

If you go to Blushing Mermaid first, the journal entry updates wrongly stating you were at the Blade and Stars:

I have located one half of the crew. They were inside the Blade and Stars. Maybe the rest is on another tavern, those sailors get well thirsty from their sea-travelling

If you go to Elfsong first the entry updates correctly.
