Temple of Bane + approach
The lock has 50 DC on it.
There's at least one trap upstairs that has something similar at it. It is a web trap, and the room behind it is empty.
That left my character scratching horn in confusion.
I'm posting it here because I'm not sure if this is intended.

The lock in the black abbey ruins is supposed to be unpickable, hence the high unlock DC. You need to find the button for that particular door.NegInfinity wrote:The lock has 50 DC on it.
As for the web trap (i presume you mean in the black abbey temple), I don't know what you are referring to?

Yeah, I found that, it is just this kind of high dc in lowbie area struck me as odd.tfunke wrote:The lock in the black abbey ruins is supposed to be unpickable, hence the high unlock DC. You need to find the button for that particular door.NegInfinity wrote:The lock has 50 DC on it.

Ah ok, I didn't make the Inn area, so I'm not 100% sure on that one.NegInfinity wrote:with phase spider, on one of the door my character spotted a hostile trap that was impossible to remove. Unfortunately, I don't have the screens, but I think it had custom description on it, something like "webbed archway". Char had 20+ disable device, "examine trap" said "success will never be possible". It was one of the archways in the middle. Didn't try stepping into it, though.

And with all the spiderwebs down there (temple of bane) - it should spawn some spiders instead of rats, but not too poisonous ones

Hmm I'll have to jump in game and test out all of the new soubar stuff myself.
Unfortunately, there was a mix up when adding the files to the server. An older version of the files got added and not the newer one.

There are rats and cultists. Since I visited the area with a high level character, they all went "splat", after said character was done contemplating the ways to steal the door with a very expensive dc50 lock.tfunke wrote:Are spiders not spawning?!Theodore01 wrote:And with all the spiderwebs down there (temple of bane) - it should spawn some spiders instead of rats, but not too poisonous ones
No spiders in the temple, under the well, or in temple approach area with benches.
I saw one phase spider in the inn basement, though. in the same area where I found that strange web trap.

Just jumped IG. So much is not working correctly, it really is frustrating.
I'll try to get onto this and fix it.

Re: Temple of Bane + approach
So it turns out spawns aren't working in either of the bane temple areas or the bear cave.
Does bridgefort work correctly?

No, it doesn't.tfunke wrote:Does bridgefort work correctly?
Only a rat or two and the minotaur shaman.
Overall the area looks quite empty regarding crates,chests,bones,.....
Found only one room with chest and coins near the boss.
However there are 2 doors that can be opened but not go in.
Ohh in Triel ruins are also only rats and (friendly) stags.

I'm working on a full Soubar fix now. Should be submitted within the day.
Sorry to everyone for the messed up implementation, it doesn't look too professional on our part.

No worries and don't be sorry.
Still enjoying all the wonderful new areas and quests.
Praise & Thanks to all involved
Can we get more hidden buttons/levers and such, maybe with a (hidden) search roll ?

Re: Temple of Bane + approach
Bridgefort seems to work correctly for me. That's the area where the bandits spawn at night, right? They spawn quite quickly from what I could see. Tough for a low level group, I had to carry quite a few corpses for resurrection the last few days...
The web trap - does nothing but slow you down. I presumed it was simply a joke, but maybe something was supposed to spawn. There's nothing in the room beyond.
The DC50 lock, we found a couple of those in the ruins east of BG as well. In all cases we were able to get beyond the doors by other means, but one in the ruins we just walked through the door, which I suspect shouldn't happen. The one in the Bane Temple is openable from the other side, but the door shuts quite quickly and there's a clickfest race to get through it for the character pulling the lever.
