Gem trader

Unread post by NeOmega »

Jand Auren's best gem customer no longer buys gems or anything else.

There is a gem trader in SShamath that does nothing.

How about a gem trader that will buy gems for more than 1400 gold?

It would be nice if it also payed better than anyone else, like Candlekeep did.

Well, you could sell them to PC gem trader and collectors.

They are out there.

And we tend to spent a lot of gold on them. Just yesterday I spent 20k on 3 gems.

Mr. Auren here had excellent book on the matter, whilst I only knew one more PC trader that bought almost any gems for fair price, and I've last seen him few month ago.

But if there really are PC traders, who buy not only 10 bags+ worth gems, can someone give me overview of their prices?
For example, buyout price for 10 garnets?
How much it could be for 10 sapphires?
For 10 ametrines?
10 diamonds?

Once upon a time I got 125.000 for a star sapphire from this lovely lady.

I do not believe many of them have lists of coinage per se.

Its not what I talked about. Its easy to sell more rare gems (btw I suppose that Star you mentioned fetched good price), but it would be interesting to have a way to sell diamonds and sapphires and ametrines etc for fair price to some jeweler etc.

Do the BG or Sshamath barbershop NPCs buy gems?
PC1 = Nerys, Emissary and Skald of the Greyfox tribe, last seen roaming north near Secomber
PC2 = Valqis Sanejmeh; far away cartographer, Oracle of Nut at chaltin QulDaq, former navigator of the Sea Seeker, Reader of Candlekeep and sometime performer.

At lower capped price?
At lower payback ratio?
Or both?

At maximum appraisal roll, they pay less than other merchants.

Capped price is not good either, IIRC. Not that it matters. Besides the really rare gems, only ametrine is worth more than 1350.

Adjusted both UD and BG to be same and a little higher.

Will be part of the next area update.
