"Candles" object for some reason is replaced with banner of helm. Also, said banner of helm is continuously on fire.

That's amusing way to lit the road for sure while simultaneously insulting paladins, but I sorta liked having a candle...

Also, "torch" sold at aello does not have a light on it.

Um, can we make the burning banners of *insert deity or organization* buyable items instead of relics of old candles? Nothing like a little blasphemy for some of the so-inclined characters out there.

This is an issue with old candles, they are going to become grandfathered items, new candles are gonna be normal, just haunt the vendors and you'll find one.

I do think they're very cool, I have a selunite one on fire.

Which vendor would have them? Aello? Basically, I was playing a character without darkvision yesterday, siince using "banner of blasphemy" wasn't a good idea, I made a sensible thing and bought a torch from him, except the torch didn' burn and didn't have light effect on it.

So I spent at least a hour running through the night in the rain without seeing a thing. Some areas are pitch-black. That is a good thing, of course, but it sorta requires working torches.

I think I'll need to look out for lanterns. The lanterns that are carried in hand, not those "lanterns on a stick" ones.

Is there a place to buy working lanterns (actual light) of the old types, or are they just loot items nowadays?

I used to use a lantern-on-a-stick for a gnomish staff. I tried to equip it the other day and it was a flaming flag.

I feel ya Planehopper. Had this really sweet blue-flame torch. Really unique. Totally useless, but neat. It's also now a banner of Torm or Helm. I forget. Unfortunately my banner is not on fire.

Several merchants in and around BG now sell lanterns and/or classic torch.

The reason some older lanterns look like fiery banners is those lanterns used the previously existing banner model files. I fixed it.
