Re: RWoT build advice-
By the way it is theoretically possible to build a RWoT with Autoquicken IV. The only problem is you can't pick Autoquicken IV as a feat!

Personally with all the extra DCs and CLs RWoT get, i would focus on defences. Either spell strategies or Cheesy feats ( CE/ICE ) or PRCs or all of the above.Tsidkenu wrote:By the way it is theoretically possible to build a RWoT with Autoquicken IV. Ok. But, the bloodmage is banned for RWoT, right?mrm3ntalist wrote:BecauseTsidkenu wrote:M3nt, why did you suggest not to take Spellpower III? RWoT is the only class it becomes a plausible investment because they can reach CL 38 in their specialised school for an extra DC point. Is that worth the spell slot losses for Archmage Spellpower I, II & III? That's the question. You either go for level 8 Archmage Spellpower III (CL 38) or nothing at all (CL 35).You get the extra CL from Blood component to reach the magic number of 38 without spell power IIImrm3ntalist wrote:4 levels of Bloodmage ( and 2less of archmage ) would save you a lvl9 spell ( no need for Spellpower III ), scars, High Fortitude saves and d6 hitpoints instead of d4.

Re: RWoT build advice-
I dont know that 100%. There are more knowledgeable players than me on that matter. Personally i dont see why RWoT would be banned from it. After all you only need a near death experience to learn more about the essence of life - blood. RWoT can die, cant they?TheLier wrote:Ok. But, the bloodmage is banned for RWoT, right?

Yes, but from all sources I heard it is banned. For no reason really, it just that way. Maybe becuse RWs were so op (joke).
Anyways, if you prove me wrong I will be happy.

The only source that can say that is the DM team. Maybe make a post in the "Questions for DMs" thread?TheLier wrote:mrm3ntalist wrote:I dont know that 100%. Question asked. If they say it is ok, I will be really happy. It fits the RP of the toon perfectly.

Re: RWoT build advice-
The Bloodmagus class lacks proper lore and it was tossed around that Bloodmagic is BARBARIC and BENEATH Red Wizards. Which i think is total bullcrap.
Demonists, necromancers, slavers but self conscious about how they would be seen if they mastered a dark art? Puh-lease.

Re: RWoT build advice-
I would like to know which piece of lore says that Thayans don't like blood magic. When people write up stuff like that they should really source themselves.
If there is a source that indicates they don't like it, then by all means, keep it restricted. But I've not seen such a mention in any RW source I've read, which is a lot.

"server made up lore" is the answer. No real lore attached to it.Rhifox wrote:I would like to know which piece of lore says that Thayans don't like blood magic. When people write up stuff like that they should really source themselves.
