Area south of Candlekeep

Unread post by YourMoveHolyMan »

The boat which procs a conversation to get a ride back to Beregost, has a lore check in order to possibly hire a ride to Ulgoth's Beard, instead.

Currently this calls on a lore-Arcana check, I recommend this be changed to geography instead.

I agree with that at the least. At best, I would like to see a change of All of the Boat conversations to the same as the one at the docs with all locations open to travel to.

If we do this, any chance we could have the South of Candlekeep boat redesigned to look like a more professional ferry-stop (with dock and ferry-man)? Instead of just a rowboat from which you wave out to sea and hope someone's watching.

Ah yes agreed. After all this time I'm sure someone built some kind of doc there?

It would be nice to also have an option to get to roaring shore from there.

It's a tiny little beach with very shallow waters.. It's not likely a boat would even fit there, let alone try to dock there. This isn't a place anyone would build a dock.. So while I agree a ship might perhaps drop you off elsewise on their way, it's not likely they'd run a public ferrying business from a tiny alcove.

Players can attempt to RP building a dock. If interested, take it up with DM Team.

Otherwise, SL's explanation is the way it is and will continue to be.
