I am looking at this... and I see too much tumble for a cross class skill. Unless EK gets it now.

Basically you are wanting a bladesinger type class.

Keep in mind, bladesinger is just a prestige class.

The spirit of it, is that you cast your wizardly spells, in medium armor, no shield using only a rapier or longsword, not dual wielding.

You keep putting up dual wielding builds.

If you are just putting up a dual wielding gish, that is whole different thing entirely.

If you want a bladesinger, I would go with the Wizard 10, EK 10 and Dragonslayer 10 as a baseline, with auto still 0-9. Remember no shields and only medium armor.

You can then throw in a multitude of variations. Wizard 10, Swashbuckler 5, EK 10, dragonslayer 5.

But with the way you are going... You can't wear armor... unless it is like padded with -5% asf, or you lose your +10 to dex for AC. But why take all those fighter levels if you didnt plan on wearing armor? Take ranger instead.

If you don't wear any armor... any enemy that flanks you eliminates your dex bonus to AC because you are flatfooted.

You will do no real damage with those short swords, because you have no strength.

Your AB takes WAY too many feats to achieve (for your first buildouts). You get +11 AB as a wizard. If you hit 30+ AB you should be fine for most of the mobs because your total AB will be 41. 5 Greater Magic Weapon, 2 for enhancement ability buff, 4 for Greater Heroism. Done and done.

So many wasted feats.

No point in taking spellcasting prodigy if you aren't even going to make the attempt at having a 20 base DC for spells.

Combat insight... wasted feat. Your intelligence is only 2 points higher than your strength. Not worth the epic feat. Bump your Int to 30... now that is a solid investment.

Anyhow, your build is all over the map in what it wants to do....

Since you aren't wanting to go for a bladesinger spirited build, this is what you have with fighter, but with ranger.

I meant bladesinger as they are in lore. It didn't say anything about the medium armor on the Forgotten Realms wiki. Bladesinger is NOT just a prestige class; it's a form of combat used by elven warriors with arcane magic.

Also, what's the point of changing it to ranger? Seems like a waste.

Why do fighters have to wear armor, exactly?

A waste?

This is what I get for trying to help out.

Look at your AB at the fighter build, and again at the build I put up.

yours http://nwn2db.com/build/?242414
mine http://nwn2db.com/build/?242454

Both have 33 AB, but mine has 10 attacks vs 7 attacks with the fighter. More HP, an RP companion (cause he aint gonna be killing anything except kobolds), an epic spell, and still your crafting feats, and more skills to include a large number of class skills opening up. Also, same AC. The only thing you lose is 2 damage per hit.

Soooo yeah, it's a waste.

Looking at your Swashbuckler build, I do not know if Battle Dancer is a feat here.. if it is, great, if not.. well...

Get your intelligence up as early as possible. This means more skill points to be earned over the lifetime of the character.

And that is all I am going to say. I am sorry I wasted your time.

What? I never called it a waste of time. But don't the fighter bonus feats beat out the Ranger things?

Because ranger can get perfect two weapon fighting without having 21 dexterity.

They don't have to. However, to fight without armor you'll need 28 dexterity or more.

Not really. It depends on what you want.

Ranger will have higher reflex save than fighter, it will have animal companion, will be able to cast spells (with enough wisdom) and will be able to track enemies (meaning seeing hostile enemies on the minimap) and hide in plain sight while outdoors Fighter can't do that. Ranger also gets evasion, while fighter doesn't. Ranger also can get perfect two weapon fighting without having 21 dexterity.

However, it'll have less hp and less feats than a fighter.

Actually, using this one http://nwn2db.com/build/?242414 at 14th level it can get up to 36 AC with its own spells.

Which makes the chance of being dispelled quite painful when you meet casters.

36 AC is very low.

A fighter with a shield can get around 43 easily, unbuffed.

36 is indeed quite low. I typically try to get all of my builds to about 45 AC to be viable at the very least.

36 is low at 14th level?

...Can anyone help me completely redo this entire thing? It's clear I have no idea what I'm doing.

I'll try Ranger 12/Wizard 8/EK 10.

No, I won't. I have no idea what I'm doing, I'll probably just mess that up, I'll try something easier...

Play a bard 30. You can max dex, wear light or no armour, bump intelligence, take ICE, deadly defence. Don't overthink things mate, this server is easy to get around in. All those other builds have a caster level that is too low. If you got dispelled you'd be dead. Gishes now kinda suck unless you're a bard or playing a divine gish.

The one I posted earlier is just about playable; and a slight variance would get you CL30 at the cost of a couple BAB (e.g. stop DS at 6/7 and take 3/4 levels of FM or BM). But, yes, the balance of power has thankfully shifted away from Arcane Gishes.

That depends on how much of a reduction on mobs that dispel, was changed on the Server, recently.

From what I know empirically, there are enough areas on BGTSCC where a Player can level a Toon to 30 without interacting with mins that dispel.

However, there is also the mobs from the DM Chooser and dispel in PvP, that can be an issue.

A 25 CL will mean being dispelled 25% of the time (on paper). But the reality is that the NWN2 engine has its own percentage logic, which does not always favor the PC.

As well, depending on the build leveling structure, at certain level ranges, the actual CL of PC may be low for the CR of the Area. That can be frustrating for a both the casual adventurer or the grinder.

Banned for some months.
