East of Wyrms Crossing

Unread post by Nyeleni »

The map does have a pin with the information "chiontar road ruins CR25" in the SE corner. Or it might be 2.5 in any case it isn't very clear and I went to explore it with my ranger. I noticed quickly that it wasnt cr25 :).

I'm pretty sure it was CR2.5 but perhaps it's hard to spot on some resolutions.

However, I just went east from the bridge and I do not land on that map any longer. Either the wolf/bandit map has been removed, disconnected or moved. I ended up on 'East Up The River Chionthar' instead.

Yes, but what is the need to put in 2.5? Why not 2 or 3? The half point is really superfluous isn't it?

And yes, there seems to be a problem with the zone links at the moment. If you come from the eastern part the zones work properly but I think if you try it from the western part it gets confusing.

From Wyrms Crossing I ended up on East Up The River Chionthar and from East Up The River Chionthar back to Wyrms Crossing. So the map dropped from between.

As for the CR, it would be clearer if it was even number.

BG Farmland's South - Wyrm's Crossing 1 --> East Up The River Chionthar 2 If you return right away you end up back at Wyrm's Crossing but if you go further to Triel 3 for instance and then return to East Up The River Chionthar 2 and then try to go to Wyrm's Crossing you end up instead at East of Wyrms Crossing 1.5

Edit: which btw. is gorgeous, and may I claim the hut for my druidess? :)

Hah glad the issue was already brought up. More details.

There are two East up the River Chiontar Maps. A small one, and a large one (new?)

East up the River Chiontar (Large/New)

Transitions to Trail West Along The River (Wyrm's Crossing, skipping East of Wyrms Crossing). It Transitions to Trail North (Triel). It transitions to Trail South East into Woods of Sharp Teeth. Transition to Trail South is Broken, and to this bug report.

Transitions other then the one from Wyrms crossing -> East up the River Chiontar (Large/New) seem to point to the earlier map renditions and trail of East up the River Chiontar (Small/old).

Oh and, the East up the River Chiontar (Large/New), is missing a musical soundtrack.

Just bumping this. It seems like the current transition from Wyrms Crossing, heading east, goes to an old version of the East up the River Chionthar map - with the Greyfox camp of old still on it. It misses out the East of Wyrms Crossing map. It also cannot transition south to Uldoon Trail.

Transition north from there to Triel and tranistion back, and you get to the proper East up the River Chionthar map, and can transition to east of Wyrms Crossing if you head back.

Notably, the Uldoon Trail north map does not properly transition south to Durlag's tower, so its hard to get to the Uldoon Trail with Greenrest on it!

I think this is all due to rolling back the LZMA/MDR.XML files about a month, thus undoing those repairs implemented just before we changed server providers. The rollback also restored some duplicate-appearing, different-though-similar-named areas. It's been a bit of a mess to sort out. The updated version is being tested on Server 2 by Staff/QC.
