The game client supports the following without needing Skywing's CE.

Code: Select all

+connect 158.69.123.65:9999
The game launches, but the hooking action (detours? , p/invoke?) isn't recognizably supported in Linux via that method. I reached out to him regarding either he providing a port or allowing me to do so, as the CE's source isn't in the NWNX GitHub repo.

Ace, there's a trick.

Go to documents and nwnplayer.ini and input the IP there once and for good.

A character belongs only to their player, and only them. And only the player may decide what happens.

This method doesn't appear reliable for deriving the non-default (5121) port. Either way, a shortcut or the added port in nwnplayer.ini is still a necessity in that particular circumstance.

Eh, guess I shouldn't complain about this one little thing... I got the game working and that’s what really matters. If I can get the Skywing working, I should consider it a bonus. For now I'll manually fetch the IPs and ports.
