Presently free, less rife with bugs than the newer implementation. When everyone feels the newer addition is ready to replace the older, we'll move in that direction. I've started on an XML mockup for a UI representation than a conversation based version that also won't kill players with con items on.Boddynock wrote:Why?Aspect of Sorrow wrote:No current plans on the drawing board for it's removal.Boddynock wrote:Lower level players still have the other changer, right?

Re: New Appearance Changer - Put Bugs found here please
Regarding altering the new epic Avernus shop items with the new appearance kit(not the old one... don't try it):
The devs and QC have probably already noticed this, but I'll put it here for other players anyways. I wouldn't say these are really bugs, but here are a few small issues I found when attempting use the new appearance kit to change one of the new epic items I bought:
1. Certain parts of armor/clothing will carry over when you attempt to change the armors appearance. For example: when changing my padded armor the shoulder pads, arm guards, bracers, and knee pads all remained regardless of what appearance I chose, whether it was a peasants shirt appearance or one of those fancy new nobles garb models. However, these parts can be fixed(or even removed) by going into the armor --> parts section in the appearance kit.
2. Changing the items color may or may not be working. At least, I wasn't able to alter the color of the new padded armor I bought. I tried all 3 options in the armor --> change color section, adjusting the brightness, color, and saturation up and down the scale but nothing changed at all. **Edit** - this might be related to the item having no base item value set.
3. Certain decorations or aspects of armors/clothing are carrying/ghosting over when an appearance change is made.
Hopefully this helps a bit.

Does the new appearance changer eat mithral armors or something like that? I'd like to give it a whirl, but some of the gear my chars have was sorta hard to obtain.

I haven't had the new appearance changer eat anything yet, but I don't own any mithral gear. My guess is that, based on my experience with editing the new epic gear I recently bought, that you'll safely be able to modify the appearance of the parts(arms, legs) without issue. But I'd recommend taking screenshots of all your gear before hand just to be on the safe side.NegInfinity wrote:Does the new appearance changer eat mithral armors or something like that?
