Traps problem :)
Hello. at pc incarnations of D&D traps are very less useful, compared to P&P version. But still you can find a some use for them if you are crafty
. But this server got a problem, at original NWN2 - player can get traps by disabeling (npc's, chests's and ect) traps. But at this server player cannot. Player can purchase traps from NPC vendors (750 per trap). And its hardly worth it. Also player can find a traps at random loot, but those traps are very rare, random and most of them completely useless. So perhaps lowering prices or making traps non consumable items... or at least allowing traps to have mutliple charges can solve a problem?

Right click and select to recover trap. It works on the server, the only thing that you won't ever get is Epic Traps, they get nerfed to Deadly Traps due to an exploit or some griefing or somtething that happened many years ago. There was talk of bringing Epic Traps back at some point, but don't think anything ever came of it. Anyway, by right clicking on the trap you should be able to select recover, which I think is what you are looking for.Mance wrote:Hello. at pc incarnations of D&D traps are very less useful, compared to P&P version. Thanks for a tip bout recovering... But non epic traps hardly can be usable at endgame content. So its kinda renders "set trap" skill - useles...

not useless, but certainly not the best skill. It can still help soften up enemies, especially in groups. As I said, Epic traps were discussed to be brought back, but not sure if they will be as I know there were some issues that needed to be addressed.

traps are not that bad and are a pretty ignored mechanic that can even the odds quite a bit. they are better at lower levels and are...
S.....
L....
O....
W.......
but if you are doing a dungeon and collect the traps then lay them out on your last fight.. it will really really help. mobs are dumb. they will walk over all of them.
not a wasted skill unless you are not using them at all.

I think it would be important to note that there are some things called grease bombs and flash bombs here now. These have a DC save that is determined by either your Set Trap or your Disarm Trap skill. It takes the higher of the 2. So it is not totally useless. I have a PC that utilizes the disarm trap and also these little tools.chad878262 wrote:not useless, but certainly not the best skill. It can still help soften up enemies, especially in groups.
