My wizard certainly appreciates his new friend. Came to rescue him in some hairy situations. Performed quite well, but not stupidly OP well like having a dragon druid on speed dial.

My sorc doesn't have thauma levels, so I'm thinking hard if this 3min friend is really worth it. He needs at least half a min of buffing too and is at risk of being chomped down during that vulnerable window.

Does the dragon occupy the summon spot or a different temporary one.

Aye, the duration sucks.
He's not a stand alone companion thats for sure. Only performed well when buffed. Otherwise got smashed by mob.

the_flame_of_anor wrote:I'm considering this feat too but not sure if it's really worth it. Does your cleric have thauma levels which extend the dragon's duration?
My cleric does not have Thaumaturge levels, and the only spells I buffed the dragon with were bears, bulls, and gr. magic weapon. Not that it needed those. Even without buffs the summon is seriously formidable, and was handling the epic mobs near Corm Orp with relative ease. I think it lost about 5% of it's HP and it killed roughly 3 to 5 monsters before it de-summoned, and the epic mobs there are no joke. If you don't have thaumaturge levels it might not be worth it, as the duration of the summon does leave something to be desired.the_flame_of_anor wrote:My sorc doesn't have thauma levels, so I'm thinking hard if this 3min friend is really worth it. I don't believe it occupies the summon spot, but I'll test that some time to be certain.aaron22 wrote:Does the dragon occupy the summon spot or a different temporary one.
Really? What were you fighting? My summon had over 40 AC(I think), 300 - 400 hp, and was doing 180hp damage with it's breath weapon. It also cast haste on us when a monster came in range. Not sure what other spells it may have cast. Perhaps the physical damage might be on the low side, but the breath weapon made up for that, and my dragon used it several times while it was summoned.electric mayhem wrote:He's not a stand alone companion thats for sure. There are no level 30's, only level 20's with benefits...

Re: Epic spell : Dragon Knight
Actually, that was the surprise that made it worth while, was the breath weapon. Thanks for the reminder.
But from an RP point of view... it's not a weapon one is willing to whip out in public all the time.
Too many dragons running around with no RP background as it is.

Re: NEXT UPDATE: Control Henchmen
Is it a new feat, or will it replace the 'summon henchmen' we already have? Does it come with its own icon?matelener wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 6:19 amThis feat will be granted to everyone for free.Control Henchmen:
This feat allows you to give commands to creatures under your control. It operates in three modes:
1) No selection
2) Select all mode: Command all henchmen except the familiar
3) Select single mode: Command a single henchman.
To enter mode 2, target the feat at your character.
To enter mode 3, target the feat at the henchman you wish to command
Once you enter mode 2 or 3, you may use this feat again on:
1) a location, which commands a creature/creatures to move there
2) an enemy, a placeable (like a chest) or a door, which commands a creature/creatures to attack it
You may also switch seamlessly between the modes and, within the single-selection mode, between the henchmen. To return to the "no selection" state, target yourself in the "Select all" mode.
Thanks to DM Doom for the suggestion.
EDIT: It might not be delivered in this update but in the one after to be sure it won't cause server issues.
Added new targets: chests and doors

Re: NEXT UPDATE: Control Henchmen
Does this work alongside the traditional commands (the voice commands)?
Being able to point henchman at a particular creature or move them to a certain spot is going to be one of the best quality-of-life adds we've done in ages.
Thank you!
