Interesting suggestions were made, but I'm interpreting the lack of replies as a lack of interest. I guess either not enough people agree or not enough people care too much about the class. That's perfectly fine.

It is one of the least played classes but that does not mean that no one is interested. Like I said, some minor improvements have already been made and it's certainly not impossible that there will be others, some day.

I think the key to buffing spirit shaman (since the server probably won't give them WIS/WIS even though druid would still have superior defensive options or even CHA/CHA) is buffing their spirit shaman specific abilities. Giving them some powerful, usable abilities like summoning, energy drain, and other thematic abilities would give them a bit of an edge.

Perhaps instead of summoning, something like divining is more appropriate. After all, the Spirit Shaman does not call the spirits into being. Instead, they already exist, invisibly, and the shaman merely converses with them. As I understand it, they have a kind of quid pro quo relationship with the spirits.

I guess I wasn't clear. I meant disinterested about the topic, not the class, which I realize still can come across as more offensive than I meant it.
