Jackard sat at his table in Orniff's, deep into the cups of Purple Hills Cider. He had returned to Greenest only a few hours previous and immediately realized that homes had been damaged, makeshift barriers created with the pieces. He spoke with his friend, Solomon, who told him tales of what had occurred. His first thoughts were of how they could aid the recovery. Solomon was to inquire. His second thought was that he needed a drink. Orniff was helping.

It was then that he opened the letter. It was from the Commander of the Northern Watch. A woman he had recently met. One he respected and admired, Wren Di'Corvi. Sitting up a little straighter, clearing his throat, he read:

Subject: Rumors of Greenest & The Uldoon Trail
Fury_US wrote:
To Mr. Jackard Marks,

Glad greetings to you, I hope this missive finds you in both good health and spirits and with prosperous business. I am reaching out to you in regards to the food stuffs that you approached me about recently. I hope you will not mind my brevity on the matter, and also hope that these food stuffs are still available for purchase, as it is my intent to secure the entire lot.

I am uncertain if you are yet aware, but there is now an influx of refugees from the hamlet of Tymount after yesterday's evacuation, and attending to their care and comfort is a matter of rather immediate concern. Much of the initiative for their care is being handled via the Radiant Heart Chapterhouse, so if it is within the realm of your possibility to make delivery to them, it would be greatly appreciated. Given the distance of travel, if you require armed escort for the shipment, simply alert me via letter or sending and I will make myself and the Northern Watch available to you.

I will personally see to appropriate compensation of these foodstuffs, so if you wish to arrange a time of meeting to settle up, I will be at your immediate disposal. Correspondence may reach me by being delivered to the Bridgefort Tower in Boareskyr Bridge, however the most reliable and immediate way is to utilize a sending.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Respectfully,
Wren Di'Corvi
Commander, The Northern Watch
He sat, thinking, tugging at his goatee as he re-read the letter to make sure he understood. He had spoken with Gaven of the Radiant Heart previously. He thought him a good man, and had heard nothing but good of his order. This would do. He could help them. This could help him. Luckily enough, the supplies had been moved by horse to the Gate when he'd left Soubar, and were already staged there. It would only be a matter of simple logistics.

Calling to Orniff for parchment, ink, and quill, he wrote:

Commander Di'Corvi,

It is with a great sense of duty, and with an unwavering desire to share the bounty of my trade, that I write to you to affirm this proposal. I shall make arrangements with the Radiant Heart at once to receive my full supply of dried meats and other foodstuffs for these poor souls of Tymount. If I can be of further aid in this trying time, you need only ask. We can discuss a settling when the immediate situation has been supported.

Cordially,
Jackard Marks
Rocky Creek Trade Company

The letter was sent North with haste.

"Greetings Mr. Jackard Marks,
I'm Kiren Myrlow of the Golden Wheel Trading Company. What happened in the hamlet of Tymount is without a doubt a great tragedy and many refugees were left without shelter nor home.
There is a large demand for the shipment of foodstuffs and we of the Golden Wheel Trading Company specialize in the safe transportation of various types of cargo. We would like to request a meeting to see if cooperation in this matter would be beneficial for both groups.

Fortune favors the bold,
Best regards, Kiren Myrow
The Golden Wheel Trading Company."
**A letter of response is penned, quickly, and sent toward the gate. Without a way of knowing where to find Kiren, the courier would provide to whomever he could find of the Golden Wheel**

Ms Myrow,

I thank you for your kind assistance with logistics and your request for a meeting.

I should gladly meet with you or another representative of your company, however the matter of the foodstuffs for the refugees of Tymount has been settled. As my stock remains staged and ready in the gate, it is perfectly situated to be delivered to the hall of the Radiant Heart.

If you have other ideas in mind to aid these folk, I would gladly entertain an understanding of cooperation.

Regards,
Jackard Marks

* A red hawk flyes to Greenest at the Rocky Creek Trade Company, carrying a message for Jackard Marks *

" To the one known as Jackard Marks,
you have my thanks for finding me with your letter so quickly. I do hope that my winged friend has reached you just as fast with my response.

Only now I'm starting to understand how important numbers are among your people and those who live with the art of trade. So let it be known that my number is one hundred and the kind of the diamonds must be completely raw and extremely pure. I will still consider jewels made with this stunning material as long as they are white and bright as the snow.

If you wish to discuss the matter with me in details, feel free to use the hawk as a messenger and I will visit you in Greenest, at your convenience.

May Corellon always inspire you!

Yours faithfully,
Helevorn Thoronil "

Solomon can be seen by the residents and folks passing through the Greenest Inn, sending several letters out in all directions. He writes them all with care making sure they are just right before placing each one in a wooden scroll tube and sealing it with wax bearing the seal of Rocky Creek Trade Company. A couple of medium sized crates go out toward the north with one of them.

Solomon offers each rider a bit of gold and a blessing from She Who Smiles to help them along their way.

A missive arrives, its content penned by the careful hand of a trained scribe, sealed with black wax bearing the personal arcane mark of a mage.
Hidden: show
Dear Solomon,

Our deepest gratitude for displaying such concern for our well-being. To alleviate at least some worry regarding our ability to procure supplies, we boast a proximity to a tradeway, capable trackers within our ranks, and the means we have available to circumvent distance through means of the Arcane – even if weather would prevent travel to and from Bridgefort. That being stated, the following would be the initial estimate for the more pertinent of supplies.

In terms of sustenance, given our forces, each tenday would see a need for at least 270 lb. of rations. However, if we are expected to treat guests, offer sanctuary to passing refugees, or compensate for other unforeseen shortages such as through rot, I would see the initial estimate to rise to 400 lb. a tenday, with this number seeing reduction as our stores are filled without depletion.

While we may expect to be able to provide fresher rations by our own means, whether from hunting or trade in Soubar, the manner we would require for the fort ought to be longer-lasting forms. Examples would be whole grains rather than flours, and meats, mushrooms, and vegetables preserved by means of drying, pickling, or brining. Whether it be from melting snow or the Winding Water, we are not expected to see a shortage of simple drink, but in the upcoming months, any additional supply of the stouter kind would be greatly appreciated.

While any offered pelts may come to use, stockpiles of firewood may be a true saving grace, for which I calculate an approximate minimum of 160 lb. per tenday, preferably of hardwood variety. Once again, given the nature of caution and unanticipated shortfalls, I would initially request 250 lb. for each tenday until sufficient stock has accumulated.

Given our intent to maintain a store of rations and firewood, I foresee us requiring ample oilcloth to ensure such supply suffers little damage from water. By rule of thumb, this would roughly be twice the amount as would be needed to cover each shipment in a wagon, and by this measure could readily be provisioned for in the first few deliveries of cargo.

Once again, we express our greatest thanks, and wish you the outmost fortune.

Respectfully,
Thotamesis al-Nyth

Iolanna Arele, Aiden Vega, and Solomon Peyton of Rocky Creek Trade Company gather under a magical tree deep in the south. They discuss matters pertaining to the prosperity of Greenest. The young druid Iolanna discusses matters of nature and the welfare of the land whilst Solomon discusses matters on the business end. The “Protectors of Greenest” as they have been called found a comfort in Solomon, a Tymorran who seemed dedicated in his dream to see The Rocky Trade Company prosper.

The three were in awe of the magical tree found in the area. They concluded that they would attempt an audience with Dharva Scatterheart to discuss bringing such a tree to the town. Iolanna would attempt to commune with the tree in hopes to receive its seed. This was the plan and the three concluded the night with agreed upon words that they would discuss this matter further in their next meeting.

A painting is commissioned to Arthur Valentine, a local artist of the community, to commemorate the recent journey and courageous efforts of The Rocky Creek Trade Company, The Radiant Heart, House Darius Trading, and their own Druidess of Greenest.

Afterward the hooded figure who commissioned this painting had it delivered to Orniff's Tavern in hopes to have it displayed somewhere along it's walls.

As the trade wagons roll on, business is handled in modest volumes within fairly routine patterns. Foodstuffs and raw goods hasten along the trade roads as gains outweigh the losses and coins trade hands for the betterment of all people who do business with Rocky Creek.

Profits are largely invested in bettering Greenest itself, with particular care provided for those recent settlers.

Solomon can be seen throughout the following days talking with villagers and offering healing and prayer to those that are in need. He spends time with his employees, repairing wagons and discussing the trade routes. He informs them that the route to Elturel is currently closed due to the fight in the north. Normal trade will resume if and when it is safer for them to operate there.

During the evenings he can be found talking with folks in the Inn over drinks. He offers to pay for most with a warm smile and gentle laughter. Playing games of chance with villagers and speaking with them about their homes and lives. He tells Orniff he is happy to see the food improve in the Inn due to the hunter that came with the refugees. He lets him know that the venison is excellent as well as the seared steak.

It is clear that the Luckbringer is happy due to the constant smile upon his face. He is home and glad for it.

A courier arrives in Greenest, the man was bearing an envelope which has a seal on it, it looked like a large gold wheel in brown wax. The letter itself would be addressed to Solomon Peyton of the Rocky Creek trade company.

With the coming of spring, Solomon can be seen moving about the village. Offering aid to those that need it. He directs some of the employees of Rocky Creek to assist the villagers in getting their implements ready for planting once the thaw is complete.

He purchases several rods and pounds of bait to give to the children of Greenest. Instructing them on the best ways to land fish from the creek that runs through.

He gives the stable master a pouch of coin to look after Lucky, making sure he is groomed and fed while he is stabled there.

After receiving a letter from Queen Scatterheart he sits and writes a response with haste. Once finished he sends it off to her abode within the bounds of the small hamlet.

Wagons are readied to leave upon the trade routes. Berdusk and Irieabor being the focus for the time being. Routes to Elturel being halted due to the fight that rages in the North.

With a new assignment from Queen Scatterheart, one of the two wagons left behind to aid the villagers is made ready for a journey. Both Solomon and Jackard can be seen loading the wagon with their personal effects and assigning a few employees to make the trip as well. It looks as if they will be leaving soon upon the road to Berdusk.

In the inn, folks may hear them planning to establish trade routes in the Queen's name. Raising mugs in her honor.
