Jackard sat at his table in Orniff's, deep into the cups of Purple Hills Cider. He had returned to Greenest only a few hours previous and immediately realized that homes had been damaged, makeshift barriers created with the pieces. He spoke with his friend, Solomon, who told him tales of what had occurred. His first thoughts were of how they could aid the recovery. Solomon was to inquire. His second thought was that he needed a drink. Orniff was helping.
It was then that he opened the letter. It was from the Commander of the Northern Watch. A woman he had recently met. One he respected and admired, Wren Di'Corvi. Sitting up a little straighter, clearing his throat, he read:

To Mr. Jackard Marks,
Glad greetings to you, I hope this missive finds you in both good health and spirits and with prosperous business. I am reaching out to you in regards to the food stuffs that you approached me about recently. I hope you will not mind my brevity on the matter, and also hope that these food stuffs are still available for purchase, as it is my intent to secure the entire lot.
I am uncertain if you are yet aware, but there is now an influx of refugees from the hamlet of Tymount after yesterday's evacuation, and attending to their care and comfort is a matter of rather immediate concern. Much of the initiative for their care is being handled via the Radiant Heart Chapterhouse, so if it is within the realm of your possibility to make delivery to them, it would be greatly appreciated. Given the distance of travel, if you require armed escort for the shipment, simply alert me via letter or sending and I will make myself and the Northern Watch available to you.
I will personally see to appropriate compensation of these foodstuffs, so if you wish to arrange a time of meeting to settle up, I will be at your immediate disposal. Correspondence may reach me by being delivered to the Bridgefort Tower in Boareskyr Bridge, however the most reliable and immediate way is to utilize a sending.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Respectfully,
Wren Di'Corvi
Commander, The Northern Watch
He sat, thinking, tugging at his goatee as he re-read the letter to make sure he understood. He had spoken with Gaven of the Radiant Heart previously. He thought him a good man, and had heard nothing but good of his order. This would do. He could help them. This could help him. Luckily enough, the supplies had been moved by horse to the Gate when he'd left Soubar, and were already staged there. It would only be a matter of simple logistics.
Calling to Orniff for parchment, ink, and quill, he wrote:

Commander Di'Corvi,
It is with a great sense of duty, and with an unwavering desire to share the bounty of my trade, that I write to you to affirm this proposal. I shall make arrangements with the Radiant Heart at once to receive my full supply of dried meats and other foodstuffs for these poor souls of Tymount. If I can be of further aid in this trying time, you need only ask. We can discuss a settling when the immediate situation has been supported.
Cordially,
Jackard Marks

The letter was sent North with haste.
