A mouth full of carrots

Bandits have been seen attacking caravans and adventurers alike, robing, thieving, and murdering. One inparticular has become widely known as Elbert the carrot, infamous for stuffing the mouths of his victims with freshly homegrown carrots. Though this cutthroat sounds ridiculous, it is claimed that this man is highly dangerous and not to be trifled with. His merry band of bandits are known for there crossbow skills and have slain many, leaving little clues, say for a few carrots. Tracking this man has stumped even the most skilled trackers, for his footsteps sometimes simply seem to vanish! The tradeway roads grow more dangerous as the days pass on with random bandit attacks stretching from north of baldur's gates to south of nashkel. Attempts to catch this man quickly becoming know at the rabbit robber in Beregost, have proven unsuccessful. his witty and brutal tactics have made even the finest adventurers fall into his ambushes and traps, time and time again. Bounties amounting to 5,000 gold coins have been placed on this rabbit robbers head, and many fear this bounty will raise even higher before the end. Along with this bounty is posted a friendly suggestion stating all travelers to only leave the cities limits with armed guards or a well trained adventure group.

A not so cuddly rabbit
A group of adventurers set a trap for the bandit known as Elbert the carrot, after a brief interaction along the tradeway north of beregost Elbert found himself injured and retreating, unable to use his more effective means of escape. Leaving a trail of tracks this cutthroat was chased back to his hideout where he and the last under his command met cold steel, and colorful magic. Refusing to surrender Elbert the carrot revealed himself to be in fact a man striken by the Lycanthrope disease, and transformed into something not quite so.... intimidating at first... a wererabbit. As a few of the adventure group began to laugh at the poor display of a were creature people began to die, by both bandit bolts and buckteeth. In the end only two adventurers survived the final battle out of a group of eleven hero's as the final Sqeek of life left our suprisingly well trained foe. As dust settled, and hero's arose from there short not so eternal slumber, the smell of a freshly cooked pot of carrot soup boiled over the bandits bonfire. The tradeways have been made a safer place, and no more bodies have been reported to have there mouths stuffed with carrots since. Some fear the return of such a humorously evil villain, while others do not, one thing is for certain although.... Carrots will be the last thing people wish to eat for a while.

Hail! everyone! I am DM Foresight coming back into the frey once more again from the dm retirement home! I have decided that I don't like the mashed potatos, and these other old senile roommates are driven meh crazy with there dm events in the hallway! I dmed for a period of time between 2013 and 2014 if anyone remembers me, and for those of you that don't, or are simi new here, HELLO! and welcome to the fun that is BGTSCC! I am excited to be back and look forward to bringing you a plethora of events in the coming weeks and months and maybe years to come! The text above was a ongoing mini event I did back in the day for your enjoyment and mine, A taste of simple events I will be running, I had a good time rereading that and remembering old Elbert! I hope to bring you many humorous, fun events such as this aswell as serious undertone events that echo into the depths of your story, were the very fate of your existence hangs in the balance by a thread!! *evil laughter fills the forum page!* aaaaaaand then you DIE!! muhahahah!!... wait.. wait.. back up... What did you roll? a 83!? jesus... Ok.. you live this time! *evil dm eye glares upon you!* Sorry! I got carried away there possibly :). Anyway! more importantly I do strive to be equal to everyone and hope you do enjoy the many things I have in store for all you wonderful players out there both new and old. This list below is a basic rules guideline to be followed while engaged in one of my events! Please do read over the rules and it is wonderful to be back, hope to see you all soon!

Event Rules

1. All deaths are considered knockouts, unless I state otherwise during a event. In the case of a actual death, raised players will have a resurrection sickness for the remainder of the event, being both weakened physically and mentally.

2. "DO NOT" attack non hostile creatures, if a creature is not set to hostile then most likely he/she has a more important involvement in the ongoing plot of the event. Though we all wish to believe our characters are impenetrable, violation of this rule will result in your character being horribly killed in a manor that fits the current plot.

3. I am a firm believer in using your character skills, during my events no matter your skill level a natural 20 is always a success and a natural 1 is always a failure. So don't feel useless if your involved in a event that tailors to skills your character is not very trained in, there is always that lucky natural 20 that might give your 6 int half orc a clue that even the wizard of 34 int did not pick up. If you do not roll when I ask for a skill check, I will consider your character to have been preoccupied, and not paying attention to what was going on.

4. No pvp is allowed in my events unless I state so, please do not hostile someone in the middle of a event without first getting my permission. This can break immersion and can lead to needless ooc that can quickly ruin a ongoing plot in certain situations.

5. You do not find anything of importance unless I state that you do, so please do not run around after one of my events claiming that you found something you in fact did not.

6. Try your best to stay in character, we all goof up sometimes to the point where ooc is needed to clarify certain things, but if you can help it stay in character.

7. Share the goodies! if there is loot involved in one of my events do please try to share it, if you have already picked something up, consider your loot round to be over until everyone else has gotten there share, or has passed on the loot.
8. Please feed me!! if you want to try something off the wall in a event! go for it! You wanna pick up that large boulder the giant just hit you with and throw it back? Rp it, ill make it happen and in the weeks to come perhaps the locals will speak of that ohh so strong guy or gal that threw a damned boulder like it was nothin! or crit fail and squirm when I drop it on your big toe :) I feed off your rp and want nothing more than to make you all feel epic in your own success or horrible failures.
Event guidelines

This below is not rules but simply a guide that can help you make the events more pleasurable for both yourself and other players.

There is no need to rush into things, take your time, explore all avenues of approach, you may find out something just by simply stopping and inspecting the little things. Try to stay with the main group, split up events can be very hard to manage when half of you are in beregost talking to a guard and the other half are following the evil necromancer into a graveyard for example. If a guard is needed you can simply send one or two people, half the party is not needed to get the attention of one guard. This is a rp server not a optional rp server so if you are going to join one of my events, I ask that you respect me and your fellow players by not turning everything into a hack/slash fest. Last and most importantly we are all here to have fun ladies and gents, our tight community is something you cannot find in other games and I take pride in being a dm for you all, so lets make what we have even the better.

THE DARK PRIESTESS

It was a morning like any other when sounds of battle came from the farmlands graveyard. Magical spells could be heard from within with the clashing of steel.... And the occasional moan.. with fleeting feet the fist arrived, although the war efforts have drained there ranks, many still stand guard in the backlines. One such guard is flaming fist champion Loyd, head patrolman of the farmlands east. Commanding but a handful of fist guards he entered the graveyard, but found the battle to have been swift and over by the time the scene was reached. Three victims lay unconscious tended by adventurers and fist alike, a report was made, and it seems to be a new necromantic face has entered the fray.... One whom worships myrkul and seeks to spread the word, and meaning of death.

New information rolls in as common knowledge, another encounter with the necromancer south of nashkel, it is reported that the dark priest deceived a group of adventurers into helping her capture a hill giant, moments after the capture the creature was killed and raised as a creature of undeath. A battle insued as the myrkul cleric summoned a horde and zombies using some sort of necromantic shadow spell. Along with the creatures a new figure entered the fray. A undead knight, clad in heavy armor wielding a sword and shield. After a swift battle the adventurers found themselves overtaken.

Flaming fist champion Loyd has been spotted traveling south to the friendly arm inn, questioning people about undead sightings, and gathering clues about the necromancer whom is now know as Gweyn. Further information spreads that the knight whom follows her is named clide.

Reports of a attack in the north comes in a skull headed figure is said to have been seen collecting the bodies of orcs. A group of unknown adventurers are said to have dealt with the creature, though it escaped through teleportation.

A group of experienced adventurers were spotted gathering for a assault on the priest. It is rumored one named hoppy, a small hafling wizard organized the party of sellswords and used information gathered to predict a location this dark priestess may strike next. They marched on the grill caves south of the friendly arm inn, but found the area had already been invaded when reaching the entrance. Heps of dead gnolls layed all throughout the caves slain by what looked to be zombies and powerful magic. Upon examination the gnollish corpse began to come back to life one by one. Few gnollish survivor's are found, there will to fight broken and bodies failing, they warn the adventurers of the skulled man. Moments after the survivors died from some type of sickness, and rose again as undead. The way forward was treacherous but in the end the brave group found a creature commanding the zombies deep within the caves... A skulled undead humanoid calling himself handred. A brief conversation verified the adventurers fears, handred had come for the beholder inside the caves, and had hoped to add it to his master's collection of undead creatures. This was not to be allowed, and the adventurers clashed against undead flesh. A colorful display of sorcery combined with brute force riddled the adventurers dropping three to there knees. The exchange was fierce and unforgiving on both sides, but in the end handred and his zombie minions fell and the beholder slain to prevent future attempts to convert it. Wounds were licked and victory was shared, but then the truth that this was but a pawn of the dark priestess set in, and the full realisation of how powerful she must be set in. If this creature was under her control.... she herself must indeed be a force of serious power...

Reports roll in of flaming fist champion Loyd returning to the friendly arm inn, he shares information with the guards about the necromancer, those nearby hear the conversation and word spreads that Gweyn of myrkul has struck again, but this time not in a manor to procure more undead, on the outskirts of the eastern farmlands a small farm home was attacked, a man, women, and child killed and turned into zombies and that champion Loyd himself had to put the three three down.
Rumors spread that this attack was influenced by the success against handred, but no formal information has been released to verify this. Before leaving the inn Loyd expresses he is looking to question hoppy, the leading adventurer of the group whom killed handred.

(((NEW It is reported that a group of adventurers were seen traveling south yesterday evening (7/14/19) they headed into the cloudless foothills in large numbers. Some commoners report overhearing they were fur traders, while others say they talked about hunting a necromancer. Shortly there after smoke was seen rising from the nashkel iron mines and
Rumors spread of demon activity around the area. A day later one traveling merchant reports having seen a terrifying scene on his way to nashkel from past the cloud peaks south. Rumors around town say he spoke of a pile of dwarven bodies piled near a abandoned graveyard he passes on the way north, the smell drew his curiosity. The man is said to be staying in the nashkel inn for a few days. Furthermore the temple of helm seems to be on high alert and much activity has been seen in nashkel of late. NEW)))

Postings on the local wanted board in both baldur's gate and nashkel show a description drawn by one of the many artist of baldur's gate, a female, tan leather common clothing, long dark brown hair, wielding a flail and shield. The posting suggests this women is high dangerous and capable of summoning large amounts of undead out of shadow. A bounty of 10000 gold coins has been placed on her head for the crimes listed below.
