Tournament of Power

Calling all warriors and those alike, come test your might in a limited ruled tournament. Winner will have to fight one of Soubar's finest warriors in the final round, and if victorious, will receive a prize of two hundred bags. Entry fee will be ten bags and profits will be donated to the town of Soubar. The tournament will take place in the Soubar fighting pit on the sixth day of ches. Rules: No hiding, no running out of the pit, and no potions, wands or elixirs after the fight has began. All fighters will have two minutes to ward before each fight, but no third party wards are allowed. All fighters will be required to rest to full strength before the tournament begins and may rest between their fights. If a contestant brakes a rule their punishment will be decided by their current opponent.

Slowly the beach near Candlekeep is getting busy. Stalls and tents are set up. There's also a place that serves as the "stage" for performances and announcements, also as the place for the magical combat experimentation after that. As one can see, the last preparations are running.

The Performers Guild  would like to extend an invitation for interested parties to join us at our public Open Stage
Night  and  perform or observe as desired.  To that end,  we encourage participants to come  prepared,  and  find
gracious  the  limitation of  one act  per person.  Our theme,  as  surmised,  covers  interpretations  of  all  things

Traveling Farmer’s Market

Residents of the Coast are invited to attend the Traveling Farmer’s Market, starting in Greenest on the 5th day of Kythorn. This market will be hosted in a different town every month. Any are welcome to bring a stall to sell their own wares, or, should they not have a stall of their own, will have the opportunity to rent one for the day. Find fresh produce, baked goods, cooked delights, crafted wares and more in Greenest's market square!

(( OOC: Farmer's Market on Friday, June 5th starting at 8pm GST at Greenest. Anyone can set up a stall, browse wares, or just socialize at their own whim! ))

Flyers are passed around and tacked up in various places of the Sword Coast.

To commemorate the Summer solstice and the season of blooms and flowers, the Haukseworth Trade Consortium will host a Charity Bake Sale on the 20th of Kythorn. The goods for sale will fit the aforementioned theme of bloom and flowers, and all profits will go to the Orphanage of the Church of Ilmater to the benefit of the children. Both customers and other charitable bakers that volunteer to help the children are invited!

The sale will be held at the Evie Farmhouse in the Northern Farmlands of the Gate, and of course, anyone willing to contribute to the charitable mood through other efforts is appreciated. Let Summer bloom!

The second tenday, 20th of Kythorn. It begins midday and the sale will last for two candlemarks before we pack up again.

Midsummer Festival

It's that time of year again, where the long hot days give way cool summer nights. Where the Fae sing and dance through the woods, and lovers giggle lovingly as they whisper sweet nothings into each other's ears. Midsummer is coming and with it a celebration of mid year's passing. The Halls of Inner Light invite all the citizens and allies of Baulder's Gate to a fun day of games, songs, excitement and a tournament of teamwork this Midsummer day (Aug 1st).

Games will include such things as apple bobbing, limbo dancing, a test of might, arm wrestling, accuracy challenges, and more! Do well enough and earn a prize ticket! Enter yourself and a teammate into a tournament of both skill and teamwork! Five Bags (thousand) per team. Winning team takes home double and a top prize ticket per fighter! End the night on a Grand Melee! Where the last fighter standing takes home an additional five bags! Not a fighter, or a team player? Place your bets on those that brave the steel!

Donations welcome to purchase prizes, equipment for the games, and musicians. Especially generous donations will get mention at the start of the festival. Contact either Leni'thel or myself for donations and signing up the teams.
