In-game crafting

Unread post by ElementalSon »

Hi all!

Sorry if this has been asked before - I've searched the forums and the wiki and not managed to find any specific answers, so I'm hoping someone can help me out.

I play an anointed knight (non magic paladin, essentially) and part of the PRC requirements are crafting: alchemy. That's cool - but how can I actually do that? I've found empty magic bottles for sale in Sorcerous Sundries, and I know there's an alchemy bench upstairs. But it says I need a mortar and pestle, and as yet I've found NO WHERE that sells these. Likewise for armor / weapon crafting. Forge? Check. Wand of forging? Check. Ingredients? Check. Put ingredients in bench and use wand? Check. Outcome??????

Help a poor, confused newbie out?

Thanks.

Requirements
Race: Any
Feats: Iron Will
Base Attack Bonus: +5
Alignment: Any good

Skills: Craft Alchemy 3, Lore: Arcana 3, Spellcraft 1

The requirement calls for you have to spend three skill points in Craft: Alchemy and Lore: Arcana, and one skill point in Spellcraft.

Cheers!

@ MrSmith

I know, but thanks! I'm actually more interested in whether I can use that skill to actually craft potions etc in game. The wiki implies it's possible, but it requires a mortar and pestle. No one seems to know where to find one.

There is none of that in-game currently the way you "make" potions are as follows:
1) If you have the brew potion feat you can cast a spell on an empty bottle and make a potion of that spell (You can do this with wands, scrolls or spells.) You will lose gold based on Caster Level and Spell Level.

2) Using some items in-game on a forge bench place the item in the bench then cast any spell on the bench (or use a "Forge Wand" that you can buy from any starter merchant in-game) things like Beatle shells will turn into potions or gold.
Nevarra Stayanoga "A wolf will always be a wolf."
Thar Kogan "A har Thar!"
Theodar Battleforge: "Oi! What dis do?" *BOOM*
