I asked you a question about trolls because YOU brought it up? I'm not throwing shade here, but did you lack awareness when making this post. I know you didn't read the your own quote for you to even believe I brought it up.

Where in the bloody blue blazes are you finding all this gold to spend? I've been scrimping and saving for a very long time, and I think I MIGHT just have enough to help the Phoenix with getting a blacksmith shop set up. And even that's a big maybe.

Honestly, I need to befriend an old rich person, and start praying to every god in the pantheon to get named in their will. :(

Unless i travel with a group, I don’t do much farming. Even before this topic, i notice that good dungeon hauls were scarce. Even elite loot drops weren’t good anymore.

Nah. Just make friends with the right people and run with thier group. They don't have any issues, since the go to answer across the board is just exactly that. Or roll a toon and streamline your RP into exactly what the server now favors. You'll be fine.

Seen this before. Depends on who's running the server. They do what they want, justify it how they want, and everyone else can hit the road. Don't like it? Sorry mate, you weren't on the list of peoples who's opinions counted into enforcing this decision.

This is not true. I am a nobody and the devs were very nice to me even when I was being rude. The loot changes really made the swrver have way better loot than it had before.

A positive attitude is key, I cannot let you say these things because the staff deserves more credit than this you are giving them.

Man, i use to play rogue in both UD and surface. They are expensive, they rely on UMD and they suck at solo grind (but that's what i actually do a lot since i'm in EU timezone). My pc started with +3 plain gear and he was leveling from lvl 1 to lvl 16 in solo completely since there were noone in level margin to team with. Guess what? He has 300k in his pocket, most of his gear is either +3 with hide/ms or +4 right now, ninja hood epic and saving for ninja boots. Tons of gold are spent into UMD. I do even have a counter of about 50 on my mist lake teleport rune.

Yeah, i grind a lot, but me being able to spend several hours a day to achieve that in 1-2 months doesn't mean you won't get it after, say, 4-6 months. It's just a matter of hours invested and planning done.
I'm not, by all means, a skilled builder or microcontrol god, yet i am able to overcome the challenges server puts me into. I don't see reason why you can't. Gold is not scarse, in fact, when you level up by adventuring, it's tons more gold and good items you receive now, after loot rebalance.
The loot rebalance itself solely hampers one's ability to get 30k spending hour making loot circle of hilltop-orcs-gnolls and graveyard-chiontar-uldoons impossible.
Instead of a quarrel happening there, can you please calculate and propose a change, taking into account balance, income/time invested, repetitiveness and other possible factors, to give us a system that would work better than existing one? That's what i'd call constructive way of working things out.

Two things came to mind, though not sure how feasible they are, or if already been discussed.

(1) Monster Hunter bounties. Kind of like the ones for undead (low level), wolf hides, troll hides, and minotaur horns..but....more. Maybe things that spawn in inventory like spider legs/crafting shells but things like....goblin ears...giant toes....wyvern scales (or stinger), orc fangs etc. Granted the overall idea seemed to be to cut down on higher level toons blasting through lower level areas for loot, this may not be feasible if it only re creates the problem. Open to thoughts, I like this idea though.

(2) monster kills give you just as much gold as the xp gained. This further encourages players to hunt in thier area, and it won't break the bank or spoil the economy too bad, but I could be wrong.

Maybe a blend of the two. Example, repeatable once a week Slayer quests. Go kill 50 gobs or whatever in certain area, gain gold and xp. Maybe a monster Hunter board set up in different areas as quest giver (relative to respective areas). Kill, get gold and xp. Nothing crazy.

Again just ideas for food for thought.

This has been suggested, and I like the idea quite a bit.. for maximum impact they should be more like the shells and mandibles, and less like the horns and pelts, that is- if they are able to be sold to vendors directly instead of turned into an NPC, they had the added benefit of become a trade item and one that can be used as an RP tool.

More animal/monster byproducts, sellable on the open market or able to ve processed to create something else,, would be a great add.

There is already a player rp initiative to buy Spider mandibles and beetle shells as well as other monster parts. Just thrown in here for advertisement ;)

Thanks for posting that, the IG initiative to buy those things is awesome btw.

Reminded me of the treasure Hunter maps that spawn chests. I don't remember where we left on that. Other concepts, rp style jobs that do a skill check for something that are worked through npcs, maybe once a week repeatable, payout based on skill level.

Example, high lore....give a lecture somewhere in BG. Roll a 10 plus 20 skill, gain 100 gold per roll on the check = 3k gold that week. Fighters can use listen or taunt for guard/prison duty. Though I don't know how limitations could be placed to prevent those skillful bards from doing ten diff jobs in a week and sitting on a pile of gold! Anyway...maybe not the best example...but just another idea. I think I mentioned it years back.
