Bridge across the River Chionthar

Over the previous weeks the Radiant Heart has been spending a great deal of time along the River Chionthar, east of the city. Among the patrols and surveying of the area, members of various factions have met with the Radiant Heart there. Members of Kraak Helzak, the Rocky Creek, and House Darius have also met with the Radiant Heart to discuss their mutual interest in a joint endeavor. The discussion revolve around building a bridge across a trafficked trade route, as well as outposts to ensure the safety of the region. Several meetings have also been held with the local druids and the Green Enclave to discuss minimal impact on the area, and ensuring nature is not harmed, rather supported by the building of this bridge.

Word is a meeting will be called soon. A means of all the groups meeting to discuss the future of the planned construction.

The Radiant Heart have been performing additional patrols along the River Chionthar. These patrols take them north and east towards a crossroads leading to Greenest, the Woods of Sharpteeth, the Fields of the Dead, and the northern Trade Way. At points they stop to observe certain crossings of the river where no bridge exists. Detailed charts are made and the areas are surveyed.

Later, the Grand Knight could be seen walking the areas with Bhor, a hero of Kraak Helzak. The two seem to go on to discuss the lands there and perhaps have come to an agreement.

The presence of a large white wolf with a scar over one of his green eyes can be seen stalking around the trees of the river Chionthar. His intentions remain unclear, and he does not engage any person he comes across.

Those attuned to nature would notice that he is not hunting. He simply seems to be watching; observing.

Along the banks of this mighty River. A silent Hunter made his way down the banks. Those blue Comyrian eyes scanned the dense undergrowth that would be a good ambush spot for a less trained and keen eye. His feet Carrie’s him fast across the terrain. A firm grip on ‘Ol’ Painless’ his Comyrian longbow. As he’d move around threats to passage and commerce on this road.

Arrows rained like steel tipped rain drops. Finding their marks on Orcs who had dared push out of the Forrest of Sharp Teeth. The Bodies would be dragged off the main roads and set off in a small clearing to be burned. Away from water sources or anything that would harm the River water. Every night a pyre would be lit sending a message to the Orcs that the East Chionthar wasn’t going to go easy nor quietly into their control.

After a weeks worth of Surveillance, Seek & Destroy patrols on the Orcs that are drifting out of the Woods of Sharp Teeth into the East Chionthar River. The Radiant Scout and the Radiant Hound Dusty are finally back in Baldur’s Gate. Nigel stopped by the East Gate District first where he meet with the laundry maid that he payed to wash his garments while he’s out in patrol. He came back with a bundle of green and black tunics and slacks. Socks and undergarments.

He stopped by and saw Joy at the Lewd Lyre and got a Comyrian Breakfast Tea with a splash of milk. He made his way through the Wide and back towards the East Gate. Where he spent a few hours enjoying hot chow at the Radiant Heart charter house and stocked up on some supplies for the next week long patrol of the East Chionthar.

The Radiant Heart have held council with Lord Dhelt, to discuss their plans to build, given the nearness to Triel. The Order leaves Elturel with Lord Dhelt's agreement.

Hello lord Aaron. I have made out the first outline some paintings of the fortresses and bridge over river Chiontar.
Feel free to show this too others in Radiant heart and those involved in the project.
Important that this is only what i remember from our previous meeting and its easy to change, ad and remove if be.

If you like to be explained i prefer a meeting and not writing in letter.


the length of the roads is dependent of funds and worker. Perhaps better roads near the bridge and more mundane ones further away?




This is the wooden bridge with no cobblestone road over the small tributary. all so the druids could be at peace.

With the return of the soldiers that had been sent to guard the wagon caravan from the east, resources in the Radiant Heart Keep open up further once more. Patrols of soldiers are seen heading east along the River Chionthar, again. The need for safer roads leading in to the city push these patrols out further and more often. bandits and monsters are driven from the roads leading towards Triel, Greenest, and the Woods of Sharpteeth by the patrolling Knights and soldiers.

A meeting call is sent out to discuss the bridge crossing the River and the outposts to guard it.

A gathering of members from the Radiant Heart, House Vale, House Darius, and Citizens of Kraak Helzak met near the building site for the new bridge. Discussions of designs, materials, and establishing teh foundation for the bridge and outpost was discussed. House Darius supplies of wood and building materials would begin to stage in a field near the build site. House Vale utilizing their share ownership in a quarry will soon have stone delivered to fill in the framework for the new stone bridge. Radiant Heart Soldiers and Knights continue their patrols along the river, keeping the orcs and opportunistic bandits away from the roads and the construction site.

The beginnings of the foundation of the new bridge begin to shine out along the river banks of the Chionthar.

In the days after his meeting with the Radiant Heart, House Darius, and Kraak Helzak, Osric makes a personal journey to the stone quarry of which his own house has an investment. Quiet words are traded with the foreman: an instruction to immediately prepare shipments of stone to the designated staging location such that the construction can begin as soon as possible.

The Keep is much more quiet of late. Forty of the roughly sixty soldiers of the Keep are now stationed along the River Chionthar. Camp is set up and most of the men and women seem to be guarding the newly arrived materials staging along the river for the bridge construction. Rumor is that soldiers pace the river keeping orc raids at bay. Some say the soldiers may also be there for other reasons, as missives are sent back and forth between Triel and the small Radiant Camp. Missive seem to flow out and to various groups and individuals.

Rumour has it a Troll necromancer had gathered some renegade orcs from here and there with a view to raiding new trade around the bridge site. However before long some wagon losses were brought to the attention of the ORH scouts who led others back to clear away the orcs. It is said they recovered an old elf blade of no specific heritage along with some ancient recipe. Just another day on the coast.

The bridge site continues along its progress. Slowed at times due to Orc raids and issues of the war, the foundation is now set and firm. Materials slowly make their way to the construction site to move to the next step in the process. The outpost designed to protect the bridge now begins to make itself seen. The plans submitted by Master Bhor are followed by the crew and his masterpiece is taking form.

The bridge is now nearing completion.
