Odd actions are taken within the halls, windows frosted and blurred with candle wax. Candles and lights left burning in rooms til the wee hours of the morning. Various couches made ready for sleeping. A radiant heart scout keeps late hours at the halls. And rumors of even glasses from the heartfire broken in bags and carried upstairs. Odd and strange preparations are being performed. For what reason, some may never know.

An elf comes and goes frequently from the building. There are times in which she makes it a point to be seen and other times to which only the sharpest of eyes can see her.

The High Lady is Seen delivering a letter to the Ducal Palace before going on her normal day.

The Heartwarder leaves a leather scroll case, watertight, hanging on a branch in the garden of Eldath for the Eldathian druid to find on her next visit.

Alturiak 22th, 1358


For the next couple of days, the increasingly anxious Druidess of Eldath would spend quite a few hours of her time in the library of the Halls. Even seen in clothes she'd not usually wear, she could be found reading books regarding the agriculture of the Gate and nearby regions, and ever so often making notes on a green-tinted book of hers, that she always keeps on her person.

If asked regarding her garments or research, she'd say it is in preparation of the Court coming up in just over a tenday, as she will stand beside the High Lady of the Halls as her observer, and must keep her knowledge up to the task.

The heartwarder of the Halls and the Eldathian Druid of the same could be seen wandering the wilds off the beaten trail between The Gate and Ulgoth's Beard. Fingers pointing to landmarks and talking of possible locations for new farmlands and discussions of how to maintain the balance of nature with civilization.

Ches 3rd-4th, 1358


Right after the Court of Ches 3rd, some might've spied amongst the many present the red-haired druidess of the Halls of Inner Light rapidly making her way to the temple's grounds, in what looks to be a search for a comfortable place for her, as some might argue a court isn't quite home for a druid.

Later that night and even into the sunrise of the next day, the druidess spends her hours taking care of the Halls' gardens, that have been flourishing even during the winter under her care. Any that might approach her can hear quiet prayer and humming as she tends to the plants. Throughout the night, her beautiful green dress gets stained by the dirt and plants, though she hardly seems to care as she's finally back in her own element.

Loneliness seems to suit her, and if anyone tries to talk to her she'll weakly dismiss them, trying to stay lost in her own thoughts.

In the morning, after the druidess is no longer in the gardens, offerings to the shrine can be seen. Most notably a wooden dagger, broken into two pieces.

Tarsakh 16th, 1358


This evening, the Heartfire Tavern of the Halls is filled with a pleasant aroma of lavender, as the druidess Runa has a lengthy and very pleasant conversation with a guest. They drink tea and eat biscuits, and after a couple hours are seen in the gardens, where the druidess likely speaks of her efforts in caring for it.

The guest leaves with a bouquet of varied wildflowers, poppies, lavender, rosemary and mint, plants that the druidess has managed to grow the past few months she's been tending those gardens. For the rest of the day, any who'd speak with the druid saw her in a light and relaxed mood, with a leaf of mint carefully placed just above her ear.

In the early hours of 29th Tarsakh, Yashe, a tiefling paladin in service to Sune made to enter the halls for prayer and reflection. Emotionally distraught and unbalanced, she stood before the shrine of Lady Firehair and offered prayer.

Following her was a fire Genasi, a pair of Tormtar, one of whom was a half celestial of all things, who in turn were followed by another grey tiefling. The Tormtar specifically are said to have entered the prayer hall, where heated discussions were had about paladins and the nature of their service to their respective gods. Most accounts depict the half celestial as a calm and collected godly soldier, who simply wished to take Yashe's measure. And most accounts regarding Yashe paint her as an irrational actor, lashing out as those of foul blood are often want to. What seems adamantly agreed upon, by the priests in attendance anyways, was that all departed peacefully.

Mirtul 2nd, 1358


Earlier in the day, a letter had arrived at the Halls with saddening news. For the rest of the afternoon and evening, the members of the Halls could've been seen in frazzled melancholy. Though conversations about the content of the letter were kept to whispers, rumors would've gotten out of the High Lady's trip and continued stay in Waterdeep, without any prospect of a return.

Later in the evening, the druidess Runa Helvig could've been seen moving boxes from the offices and private quarters of the Halls, and gossip would easily spread that the priestess assumed a new role of councilor in the temple. A role of leadership to remain until the return of the Heartwarder, or at the very least another to succeed her.

Towards midday an armored woman can be seen entering the halls of light. She would head directly towards the Moonmaiden speaking a soft prayer.

My dear MoonMaiden light please light my path.
I am faced with a great darkness and fear that hatred may win where love and light should grow.
I know not which path to take. I fear the harm of others. We fight among ourselves when the true enemy is at our gates. We are weak from within and cannot win if we do not unite.
Guide my steps as the darkness overwhelms. Lead my path across the blackness so that I may emerge brightened with moon's gaze.

Let all on whom my light falls be welcome if they desire to be so. As the silver moon waxes and wanes, so too does all life. Trust in my radiance, and know that all love alive under my light shall know my blessing. Turn to the moon, and I will be your true guide.

I have hopes that both sides may seek understanding and truth. That both sides will listen else darkness overcome.
I ask for your aid, for the strength to allow beauty and radiance to shine like moon's glow. I ask for your aid in seeking the truth and allowing forgiveness so that both sides may learn and grow.

A notice is posted, its contents immediately going into effect;

10th of Kythorn, 1358

The Halls of Inner Light will no longer tolerate the presence of members of the mercenary company "Whitewood Vanguard". Their acts of savagery and brutality toward innocents and the repentant, as well as blasphemy against noble deities stand against the collective ideologies held within these walls. They are henceforth banned from the premises.

Members of affiliated religions are given a pass from the foyer to the prayer hall, explicitly for the purposes of honoring their gods and giving prayer and meditation, abuse of this exception to loiter or create trouble will be met with the offending individual being escorted off the premises.

In addition, the Halls of Inner Light disavows the Whitewood Vanguard and its leadership.

This policy will remain in place indefinitely.

A Shao woman of some minor notability is seen visiting the Halls. She lingers in the garden for a few minutes, perhaps with apprehension or simply looking through the herbs there. After finally entering the temple, she departs some time later empty-handed but hopeful as she trades parting wishes with both the resident gardener and budding tavernkeeper.

For the last two days, those passing out of or into the Halls of Inner Light would easily have been able to catch a glimpse of a visitor in the gardens. A female figure in travel-worn garb could on and off be seen before the fountain, head bent and hands held before her in apparent prayer. Anyone approaching during this time would find a few thin bundles of white lavender spreading their pleasant fragrance from the fountain's rim. And if their timing was just right, they might see her sitting down shielded by a nearby bush, engrossed in the writing of a letter, in the slow, careful way of one to whom writing still required deep focus to ensure it turned out right.

Skies darkened and fire rained.

The Hall's Keeper was outside, in the gardens, and ran inside to warn the others.

Concern was palpable, and then came the impact.

In the aftermath, two priestesses were dead and the Keeper maimed

Many came to help and rescue, from concerned citizens to the brave men of house Vale. The bodies of Priestesses Tia'tae and Danya were found, along with the unconscious but living body of the druidess Runa, who was then taken to House Vale for continued care.

The future is uncertain.
