Fliers are placed on various noticeboards around Baldurs Gate
Citizens of Baldurs Gate,

Long have we stood in safety and comfort within our walls.
We grow wealthier at the discomfort of others beset by the War raging in the North.

I ask those of you with spare gold and a large Heart to help.
Farmers, villagers, and people like you and I have been devastated by raids of the Dhaerow and Orcish clans in the midst of the fighting.

Soldiers return home from the fight with the Black Network.
They are honoured for their heroism, though also maimed, both physically and mentally.

I beseech you all to reach deep and give generously in support and aid of those whos lives and livelihoods have been lost so far.
For those with hearts large enough and pockets deep enough to donate, seek me out.

Valduil Feralen, Squire of the Radiant Heart.

A small framed woman with a purple hat can be seen fluttering around the city with a large stack of flyers. She would post them on doors and notice boards for any passerby to see.

A small gathering of individuals in various garb, toting the silver badges of the Whitewood Vanguard, gathered in the eastern district that early afternoon. After a brief assembly including a knight of the Triad, they made their way to the temple of Ilmater.

Image

Once there, the crew went on inside, hats removed in reverence of the temple's sacred grounds, and a brief ceremony was had. This day they delivered unto the temple of Ilmater an artifact of the faith, recovered while they were on patrol earlier in the year during the spring.

Image

After a brief speech, explaining their purpose and what it was they brought, Dunn knelt before the priestess Ashenie. Never one to tower over another, he was off guard a moment as she knelt with him. Purpose carried on though, and the relic was turned over to the care of the temple - and upon the hand of the priestess.

Image

Only once it was in place, was the true nature of the artifact made plain to any within eye sight, and a new light was brought unto the temple grounds. The hope of the man that recovered the ring, and today, turned it over to its rightly place, is that the light will be born upon the roads of the region. A shining example of faith made manifest.

Image

//Thank you to the player of Ashenie and those players of the WV, and church of the Triad, for this rp!
Michael Dunn

Hearing rumors of a reward offered by the Fist to anyone who could assist in investigating the disappearance of a wagon, which went missing as it traversed the route east along the Chionthar River, attracted the attention of several adventures offering their services.
Image

Their search eventually led the investigators to the wagon’s destination where they found a town plundered and occupied by pirates who had migrated inland. The wagon was located with its personnel slain and cargo plundered. The investigative team set about the task of cleansing the town of pirates and dousing the many fires set by the plundering horde. Though the pirate Captain narrowly escaped the clutches of the investigators, several of his crew were captured to eventually face Duchal justice. Fortunately along with the captured prisoners the investigations were able to recover treasures pilfered by the pirates that were subsequently turned over to Duchal Authorities.

As an aside, during the course of the search several investigators would admit to sighting a stag with bottles of ale clutched between its teeth and reeking of tobacco.

*A tiefling in blue robes bearing the symbols of Candlekeep can be seen attaching the following page in the noticeboards of Candlekeep, Baldur's Gate, Soubar, Beregost, Nashkel and Greenest*
Coastal Chronicles - Kythorn 1358 DR Year of the Shadow

Adventurers sweep the Nashkel area looking for dragons and undead. It is rumored that some old lore has been found in one of these expedition. Another one has swarmed the lair of some cultists.
A troop of volunteers led by Captain Enfoose reaches Triel to provide support to the Hellriders.
Some seem to be searching for the mysterious Yondalla Yarns.

1st Kythorn, Western Heartlands - A small group of elves ventures in what was once the farming community of Tirlis, site of the unholy ritual that corrupted miles of farmlands between Iriaebor and Berdusk. Druids and clerics of nature begin their tireless work to heal the land.

2nd Kythorn, Baldur's Gate - Lord Vale delivers a speech addressing the recent message of Vigilator Barristan Schultze, deeming it a threat.

2nd Kythorn, Western Heartlands - A mysterious trio known as "Hark Hark Apples Doan" sets a bandit camp ablaze and is praised by the local farmers.

5th Kythorn, Western Heartlands - The Children of Silver are entirely decimated, somewhere near the Reaching Woods and only the half elven sorceress Meyra Greenstar survived, albeit severely injured. It is rumored they were hunting the black dragon who has been plaguing the area.

6th Kythorn, Baldur's Gate - The members of the Zhentarim, Black Abbey and the Order of the Blackrose are banished from Ducal Lands.

7th Kythorn, Ulgoth's Beard - The Whitewood Vanguard bids its final farewell to their fallen comrade Olesya.

10th Kythorn, Baldur's Gate - The Whitewood Vanguard is banished from the Halls of Inner Light.

11th Kythorn, Western Heartlands - Men and women of the Bladestone Foundation escort the wagons of the refugees from the war zone to the southern parts of the Western Heartlands.

11th Kythorn, Lion's Way - A group of adventurers is lured inside the abandoned quarry by a traveler coerced by a necromancer, after said traveler saved them from a fiend. The necromancer raises the fallen comrade as an undead and commands it to kill the rest of them. Only the traveler who lured them there escapes with his life.

11th Kythorn, Soubar - A black dragon, after transforming into his humanoid form, meets with Mag. Upon leaving her tavern, he transforms back to his dragon form trampling and killing about a dozen of the local residents before taking to the sky.

12th Kythorn, Undercity - After regular purification rituals have been conducted on the shrine of Bhaal for well over a year by Sister Ashenie and the temple of Ilmater, the evil taint in the area is finally lifted and the souls of the innocent victims sacrificed there are finally able to find rest.

12th Kythorn, Baldur's Gate - Captain Michael Dunn declares that the banishment of the Whitewood Vanguard from the Halls of Inner Light is unjustified, as this was done even if the Vanguard did not violate the terms agreed with them and Doron Amar, and that he was falsely accused by the Halls.

16th Kythorn, Soubar - The Blackrose Annual Commerce Gala is cancelled for this year.

16th Kythorn, Wood of Sharpteeth - A gold dragon is seen flying over the area several times.

26th Kythorn, Western Heartlands - Squire Valduil Feralen starts an initiative to gather funds and help for the refugees of war.

27th Kythorn, Kraak Helzak - King Dovkin Battlehammer departs with most of his Guard towards Waterdeep. It is rumored he will sign an agreement with Lord Piergeiron Paladinson.

27th Kythorn, Way of the Lion - The Bladestone Foundation expands its classes to include magically enhanced combat. Captain Michael Dunn relinquishes his partial ownership of the compound and moves south with the Whitewood Vanguard.

27th Kythorn, Baldur's Gate - The Whitewood Vanguard and a group of Triadic Knights delivers an artifact of the faith to the temple of Ilmater.

27th Kythorn, Baldur's Gate - After being completed and refurbished, Baldur's Bibliotheca, River Steel's public library, is now ready for the grand opening scheduled for the 2nd of Flamerule. Its purpose will be to teach letters for free to all those who require it.

29th Kythorn, Along the Chiontar - A group of adventurers tracks a disappeared wagon to a city occupied by pirates. The cargo is recovered and some of the pirates arrested, although the Captain flees. A stag smoking a cigar is spotted in the area.

Radiant Heart Knights, Squires, Clerics and Soldiers are out in number. Members of the Order are seen aiding the wounded and helping to put out fires in the city and farmlands. Rubble is removed to help reach those trapped in ruined buildings. The Grand Knight has set up tents outside the Keep in the Farmlands, a place to care for injured and feed those in need

The aftermath of a black rainfall and a meteor shower on the Gate is being accounted for. Losses in lives are minimal, fortunately, though damage to properties, as a whole, is substantial. Most buildings have suffered minor-to-medium damage and will need to be repaired.

The building that suffered the most was no other building but the House of Inner Light. A large part of a falling meteor had fallen directly upon the building, resulting in a minor explosion- dust and rubble flying in the air. When it happened, the complex had a good number of faithful take shelter inside of it from the strange, dangerous weather. The survivors that have managed to run out or crawl out of the ruins have stayed behind to help volunteers clear the rubble, to find other survivors.

After few hours of tireless work, everyone who was inside had been accounted for. Miraclously, only a few persons lost their lives when the roof collapsed on top of their heads. Most were wounded, such as the Keeper Runa Helvig, whose right leg was crushed and had to be amputated on the spot. Of the dead ones were found two priestesses: elven priestess of the elven goddess of love and beauty, Tia'tae, and dwarven priestess Danya. Both, apparently, have protected another priestess, a halfling named Lily of Sheela Peryroyl, with their bodies. The little hin priestess has survived, but the loss of her friends had left her in a deep state of shock and mute.

The temple complex now lies in ruins. The attendants and survivors mourn.
Upon learning of this calamity, Osric would request House Vale's retainers - and orders the entirety of the house's guard complement - to begin aid efforts for those of the Halls of Inner Light. He offers the estate's guest quarters for those in need of shelter and goes to find the Keeper and the Halls' Ruby Rose Knight to see how further he can help.

As the limits of what can be done to aid the Halls are reached, the lord would turn his attention to the remainder of the city. He surveys the city and its many districts to see where the damage is heaviest and where the people are most in need.

The Steward of House Darius is seen after the strange "storm", assessing damage to Company property, and calling all hands on deck in terms of laborers, to repair damage. Soon afterwards, he checks on the Temple of Ilmater, doing what he can to assess the need for repairs and ensure it continues to be a safe haven for those in need. Afterwards, he is seen wandering the city and assisting with various efforts around the gate, offering food and shelter to those in need at the Estate.

Under the Light of the Torch…

A lone figure walks the chaotic streets, a torch on one hand a heavy tome in the other. He is seen healing and comforting the grieving.

“This is the reckoning of our failure to heed the lessons and the warnings…. For far too long we have allowed the wicked and the unclean to dabble in the realm of gods. These narcissist mortals that wield the unholy and unclean arcane power who had brought Calamities to many civilizations and enslaved others … whom now hide in their towers and keeps while the good hard working man has to deal with their sins and affronts to the gods.

A tiefling usually seen in the company of House Darius steps out of the Lewd Lyre, freezing in motion as she stares up in a mix of wonder and disbelief at the falling meteorites, her ruby eyes flitting over the skies. Passersby not running around screaming in panic make mention of the strange woman ceaselessly babbling to herself in a foreign language, through various timbres of voice as she stands there, her potentially disturbing spindly, longfingered hands outstretched. As a particularly large meteorite descends somewhere upon the Palace District, she stops abruptly and takes off running towards it, disappearing amongst the panicked crowds.

Elsewhere in the city after the devastation, a Tormtar Paladin by the name of Thomas Garlendt is seen aiding the efforts of recovery in the city, helping clear rubble from destroyed buildings and see to the needs of the wounded. He throws a stern glance at a nearby preaching man before continuing his work in silence.
