Re: The Church of Mystra RP
A cloaked elf, dressed in a ranger's garb, passes the street before the temple, when glanicing in the garden and noticing the flame-and-gold colored butterflies. Stopping in mid-step, she marvels at the sight, before hesitantly looking over at the door of the magnificent building. Seeing noone there at that moment, she enters the garden, carefully stepping not to scare away the butterflies. There, she raises one gloved hand, and frozes in the movement, letting the creatures - if curious in nature - to fly around her. Palm upwards, patiently, she stands there for a time, waiting for one of the butterflies to settle on her hand, or if not, just study them from far for long moments.

The Golem's Hand.
A paladin of Milil, accompanied by a famous dancer Lily Summerheart, has arrived to the temple of Mystra. The duo asked for expertise, providing a trinket that resembles a severed golem hand. The petitioners suspected that their find might turn out to be a divine relic or other artifact of importance.

Re: The Church of Mystra RP

From twilight, Alturiak 10, Sirion could be found in the library poring over tomes. Between hours spent in the study he walked a round in the temple to take the measure of each room. Eventually he went to rest and, as wizards do, began the day by studying his spellbook. Next he entered the chapel to have a quick word with the priestess Neela, and began to cast a long abjuration to prevent future uninvited guests from teleporting directly into the temple.

Re: The Church of Mystra RP
Following the events marking the beginning of what would become known as the Time of Troubles, Sirion remained largely absent from the temple in Baldur's Gate. His cat familiar however, known to some by the name of Ephior, could now be found there.
The cat would occasionally scratch Fenwick's face or feet, as instructed, whatever was in reach at the time.

Re: The Church of Mystra RP
Over the last half a tenday Sirion paid several visits to see Althalous Fenwick in the temple, leaving more oft than not with a mighty scowl on his face. Eventually he spent some time examining the state of the wards in the temple, and in particular assessing the safety of items kept in the vault.

Concerned about the Bell, River stops by the Temple to ask if the paladin is still able to protect it properly in the vault.

Re: The Church of Mystra RP
A notice is placed inside the church of Mystra in a quite prominent location, both addressed to the visitors and members of the church.
"Dear Visitors and fellow Mystrans"
With recent events, the leadership of the temple had asked our experienced and capable arcanists to analyze the current status of the portals that we use day to day. To cut things short, they have been deemed unstable and unsafe for travel purposes. What this means is that we will be looking for alternative accommodations for those who stay within the temple. Please seek Althalous Fenwick for further information about your accommodation needs.
We ask that no one without written permission from senior members go through the portals, your belongings will be kept safe.
Signed.
Althalous Fenwick.

Re: The Church of Mystra RP
Late in the evening a woman garbed in brilliant Red enters the temple to Mystra. After a lengthy conversation with a member of the church, she exchanges documents and leaves for a time.
The next evening the same Red Wizard is seen entering into the temple a second time, this time taking an effort to examine the portals that rest within the temples walls.

Re: The Church of Mystra RP
It seems a large group of Mystrans had been seen heading to the palace district carrying most of their belongings and safekeeps to the Vale Estate, many showing the first brief signs of actually smiling for the first time in a long time, if still uncertain.

An open letter to all spellcaster would be sent for every spellcaster to see. Even the often forgotten bards may feel adressed. It bears seals of the Azure Arcanists and Candlekeep. There are flyers added that give informations and copies of a certain public folder from Candlekeep.

Hear me, all you fellow spellcasters.
we all are facing troubled times. We had losses so severe, some may not imagine. We may be restricted and limited, and no mortal being can free us from those „shackles“. There is still places, where you are not resent and the Everwatch Knights are negotiating with Amn to find ways, to accept us. It may take time and patience. But hope dies last.
The Azure Arcanists stil are recruiting and always will. We will be honest and open with you. If you carry no dark thoughts, come to the Temple of Mystra, where we are allowed to be located. Are spellcasters being prevented from casting spells? That point is moot, as the City has become a zone of dead magic and our spells won't work anyway. Just like it happend to the Fields of the Dead after Jergal's intervention and the Boareskyr brigde after Bhaal's death.
Bring no harm and no harm will come to you. If you can bear with the laws, that other places surely have to keep up with, just like us, we are the Alternative for you.
We're also happy to have associates in Candlekeep, where you can also stay for a Tenday of Research. Members, wether avowed or unavowed can stay permanently. So it may be likely, you'll find us there as well occassionally. Knowledge about the recent events is shared freely here.
Also the Bladestone Foundation offers shelter for spellcasters at Warrior's Rest. They even go on patrols to protect or respectively save those who are in distress. The magekillers may still haunt our thoughts, but we're not at all alone.
The chains of Wild Magic and Dead magic aren't fixed by any mortals so easily. But together we're working to gather knowledge, so that everyone may be able do cast spells without those risks. Fleeing from the restrictions and what happens, will not change anything. So we work to understand what is happening and find a way to change it, for everyone and for the better. Yes, together we can at least try to win back our freedom. We stand, in our way instead of running. Mystra may be gone, but we are still here. It doesn't stop us from living according to her teachings and what we believe in. We have stopped thinking „What can't i do?“. We started thinking: „What can i do?“
Now more than ever, it is important to respect the weave, treat it not like a tool. Yes, if you need a tool, you can't buy in the Wide, you just go to another City and buy it there. But the weave is not to be treated like a tool, in order shape the world to your will. Love magic for what it is, and what do you do with something you love? You don't abandon it, you try to save it!
You are welcome to join us, in rising and working for our rights. What has limits now, doesn't mean it will stay like this forever. If you want to make a difference in the world, you will find like minded people with us. If you want to make a change, join the project „Make the Swordcoast great again“. We will love to help you learn and grow and exchange knowledge with you. Power is not only power. Power is real freedom and creativitiy.
Some may think, we sit and and wait. But we don't. We act in our way, for everyone, for you and a better tomorrow for all of us.

Re: The Church of Mystra RP
Rumours have been spreading that an important emissary from Waterdeep was seen visiting the temple of Mystra.
Shortly following, a group of individuals, including the Guide of Candlekeep and lord Wandersoul of Baldurs gate were gathered by the wyrms crossing, meeting this important individual from Waterdeep.
It is said some candlemarks later, brief lights could be seen in the sky over Baldurs Gate, and some time even after that, snow seemed to fall over and only over the city of Baldurs Gate.

A sun elf bladesinger seems to be visiting the public library of the Mystran Temple with an increasing frequency, asking Meenlya for a few chosen categories to make her search. The elf is reading through volume and volume with a bit of a hurried focus. On the occasion, she brings a book from the shelves with her to a desk, and writes in a book of her own.

A bald man with a tattoo on his forehead and wearing fancy red and gold robes spends an afternoon inside the Mystran Temple's public library, reading on varied diverse topics. He's polite and respectful to any that approach him, be they other visitors or priests of the Temple.
