Looking for DM help please

Hello!

I'm pretty new here and not sure this is in the right spot. I tried the DM request button and it just said I couldn't access that area.

Anyhow I am playing a druid shifter and am level 23 now. Character name is Saman Ogden. I took the epic prowess feat and it only works in normal form. I was wondering if I could have the feat swapped out to the epic 30 hp one or if epic prowess could just work in all forms that would be even better. Also was wondering if the epic AC feat would work in all forms or not. Once again if it only works in normal form it would be pretty useless. It would also be great to add this to the shifter wiki so another shifter doesn't make the same mistake and take epic prowess which is pretty much useless for a shifter. Highly enjoying my time here on BG:TSCC! Thanks to DM Ink for letting me know to post this on the forums.

I assume you just took this level recently?
If so, theres a fix that's quicker and more likely to happen, as DMs don't give relevels for player mistakes

In the Nexus there is an imp that is the EXP Remover, simply remove enough exp to go back to the end of level 22 and then go out in the world and kill something to reach 23 and regain that level.

That does sound like a solution. I took it at lvl 21 tho so I guess I would have to delevel down to there again. It wasn't so much a player mistake as the game not working the way I thought it would. Epic prowess just doesn't work in any shapes, only normal, and it's not stated anywhere. I guess doing this I could also test if the epic Ac feat works in forms or not. Any way to submit this to be added to the wiki?

It just states it gives attack bonus nothing about not working in any forms.

Epic Prowess works in my Shifter Shapes.

I’ll try to test it tonight or tomorrow, to make sure. It SHOULD work by design, and if the Feat isn’t working, it can be fixed TO work by Devs (eventually, when they have time).

Dire bear (Wildshape) 21 BAB 12 STR bonus +4 gauntlets = 37 No Prowess

The gauntlets

The Spear

Troll (Polymorph) 21 BAB 8 STR bonus = 29 No Epic Prowess or +4 from gauntlets

Me with just the gauntlets (Normal) 21 BAB STR 4 Gauntlets 4 Epic prowess 1 = 30

Werewolf Lord (Shapechange) 21 BAB 12 STR +1 from epic prowess = 34 No +4 from gauntlets

Werewolf (Shifter) 21 BAB 10 STR 4 EB (from shifter 18) 1 from Epic Prowess = 36

Epic Elemental 21 BAB 14 STR 4 Gauntlets = 39 No Epic Prowess

Owlbear Shifter 21 BAB 12 STR 4 EB = 37 No Epic Prowess


Here is some much more accurate testing.

Epic prowess doesn't work on some forms I guess you would need to go through each one.

Figured I would just add all my shifter shapes.

Mindflayer 21 BAB 7 STR 4 EB 1 Epic prowess = 33

Dryad 21 BAB 9 DEX 4 EB 1 Epic Prowess = 35

Pixie 21 BAB 8 DEX 4 EB 1 Epic Prowess = 34 (Dunno where the other +2 came from) it has 36 somehow

Wyvern 21 BAB 11 STR 4 EB = 36 No epic Prowess

Ogre Magi 21 BAB 11 STR 4 EB = 36 No Epic Prowess

We're looking into this. Honestly not sure why it's only working in some shapes, we'll try to figure out how to get it to work in the rest.

Also, on a note about your build, you don't want to trade epic prowess away over this.

Epic Prowess opens up access to Expose Weakness, one of the single most valuable feats in the game, which does apply in Shifter shape.
