Brawl-Room Blitz!

A tournament of Fisticuffs and Brawling to be held at and by the Bladestone Foundation on the 20th of this Month.

No entry fee, but there will be possible prizes to be won!

Very simple rules... Armor and shields allowed, but no weapons! (and no shield bashing, that's a weapon)

Grappling? Sure!
Knuckled gloves? Absolutely!
Stealth? If you gotta!
Strength and Dexterity enhancement (and wisdom if you're that kind of person)? You bet!

Ward Types allowed:
Passive defense wards such as Mage Armor, Spiderskin, etc. Displacement/blur effects allowed 1 time person per match.

Ward Types not allowed:
Shapeshifting, passive defense wards that add some sort of damage reduction or full illusion effect such as stone skin, mirror image. No summons, thug your opponent yourself!

Choices of prizes will be dependent on number of participants to include but not limited to:
Weapons, armor, shields, trinkets, and other stuff!

Mages of the Sword Coast

You are invited to a morning, day, evening or night of informal mageduels. Rejoice. This event will take place in the Temple of Mystra near the East Gate.

If you are unfamiliar with the practice there are written instructions in the temple's duelling chamber, which is open and available for guests of the temple to make use of.

If you are not a mage I suppose we will not necessarily throw you out.

Greengrass Festive!

Good people! It is time to celebrate Spring, rest a bit admist the hard work of the season and usher in Summer! We Faithful of Chauntea invite all that wish to honor The Grain Goddess gifts to annual Greengrass celebration! Food and drink is plenty and it is free to all those that wish to come and enjoy it. There will be music and merriment.

This festive will be held 4th of Mirtul in a place called Cradle of Growth. Newly built place and shrine dedicated to Chauntea on a rolling hills between Baldur's Gate and Ulgoth's Beard. Follow the banners on the path along the Chiontar west of Baldur's Gate! Come one come all and welcome!

Mages of the Sword Coast

I am once again asking you to join me for an evening of mageduels, this time in Warrior's Rest on the Way of the Lion.

Expect a tournament with some kind of reward for the winner. Registering in advance is not required but since pairings will be made before the tournament begins, please be there in good time!

Be there in the evening, 22nd of Flamerule.
Rules and information follow below.

Mageduel rules:

1) Attack only with spells, including weapons conjured in the duel and magical shapechange.
2) You may hold a magic weapon not conjured for its effects, but not attack with it.
3) You may make use of scrolls, wands and other magic items so long as they do not attack directly. For example, a scroll to conjure a weapon or creature.
4) When you would normally have died, you are out of the duel.
5) When you leave the circle, you are out of the duel. The last to remain inside the circle has won.
6) The duel also ends when both parties declare it to be a draw.

Rules to abide by in Warrior's Rest:

1) Do not cause damage to the establishment in any way.
2) Do not harass or scare the staff and patrons of the inn.
3) No undead and no outsiders.
4) We have been told it would be appreciated if we abstained from casting "evil energy spells" and given the example of Abyssal might, that conjures energy from the Abyss.

The infirmary and its healers are available to us, and the arena has been paid for for three hours. If anybody chooses to stay longer than that, feel free to tell them it was my fault - Sirion

Beginning the duel:

I) Agree on a number of up to 3 wards.
II) After a count, cast your wards or wait as long as it takes you to cast them.
III) Then enter the arena and attack.

Quickening one's wards is allowed but considered by many to be against the spirit of the mageduel.

(( OOC note on AoE spells and damage: RP wise nothing should leave lasting damage or affect anyone outside the duel. But since the room is pretty cramped, you might consider holding back on huge AoE spells cause you will hit the audience OOC xD ))

Not long after the Mage Duel, another Event was announced. An elf in Blue Clotheses would help Mischa hang out posters and hand out flyers....and probably try to stop everyone who again starts discussions about details or would again take down the posters before the end of the event. That "history" wouldn't repeat so easily this time!
There was promise of Music, Entertainment, Street fights, Food & Drink, and more Mage Duels!

Three stages were chosen for around three hours in lthe following order, as word has it:
The first outside the Temple of Mystra in the Eastway District, lead by Sirion & Tiawyn.
The Second one was inb front of the Orphange in the Heapside District lead by Sera Kelm.
The Third Stage would be in the Wide, near the Arena, and lead by Rose Wintertal.

Still they all were but helpers! In the center was the one Tymoran who pulled the wires and initiated the whole Spetacle: Mischa!
