Question for DMs/Staff re: Ibrandul

According to the Forgotten Realms Wiki entry for Ibrandul, he was killed by Shar during the ToT, and yet when I chose him in the diety list he was not listed as a dead power. So, what is going on with Ibrandul in BGTSCC?

One thing in the wiki that caught my eye is

his name and following usurped by Shar

... does that mean that we CAN have him as our god but really it's Shar we're praying to, receiving favours from, etc, and we don't know it's her? Or is Ibrandul not being listed as dead an oversight? Or is the wiki wrong? Or is BGTSCC following a non-canon story where he's concerned?

An official statement from staff would be deeply appreciated. Thanks so much in advance!

Correct! Shar has taken up his name without revealing herself, Ibrandul worshippers don't know who they're really praying to. The one exception being druids, who are not sponsored by Shar and were sponsored by Ibrandul, they at the very least know something's wrong.
It's very much not an oversight, and very much intended.
