Slaughtered Livestock in Beregost's Outskirts
Farmers, shepherds, and goatherds on the outskirts of Beregost have travelled into town to complain of their animals being attacked. Specifically, they say that many of their rams and goats have been slaughtered, with their horns cut off. Gossip spreads, with a variety of opinions one might hear as they walk through Beregost:
"I'm ruined without me goats."
"Aye, someone is going to pay for this."
"I'll give ONE gold piece to whoever finds out who done this, I will"
"Poor animals, they didn't deserve it."
"Won't somebody think of the children?"
"First the undead attack, and now our farms attacked?!"
"I bet it's those tieflings up to no good."
"Nay it's Amn, it's always Amn."
"We need to put together and help our farmers and shepherds."
"What about a festival? Raise some coin for 'em!"
"Aye, maybe Midsummer? It's Shieldmeet this year!"
"It's obviously those tiefling-hunters."
"What are ye talkin' 'bout lass, they be lookin' for ram horns, not devil horns!"
"... wisdom is always chasing you but it seems that you are much faster."
"Praise the Morninglord! He will protect us."
"All good for you lot in town with guards!"
"This is why we need the sheep registration system. It's those sheep-movers."
"What do ye mean, a ribbon on yer sheep ain't gonna stop it from being hurt."
"It's those tiefling-drow again, I know it."
"There ain't no tiefling-drow."
"Tiefling-elves?"
"Ain't none o' them either!"
"Oi you there, throw away your damn rubbish!"
"Limerence results from romantic feelings for another person, and typically includes intrusive, melancholic thoughts, or tragic concerns for the object of one's affection and a desire to have one's feelings reciprocated."
"A lime is a citrus fruit."
