Heart's of Pirates

“In the absence of love, we began slowly but surely to fall apart.
In the presence of love, available people are the ones who are most dangerous,
because they confront us with the possibility of real intimacy.”

Image

"May my heart be your shelter, and my arms be your home, may my touch bring you comfort, and my love be your throne." Outsiders tend to believe that the heart of a pirate is as black as coal, equally gritty and made to burn. Yet since I've lived in the village of Roaringshore, I've bared witness to pirates with hearts as pure as gold. In the Broken Goblet, I've seen first hand, how love can bloom from banters and chastising displays. Any pirate knows treasure when they see it. It's a feeling in their bones, the ting in their heart, the desire to want. I'll say to any man, no matter how brutal or sassy or ruthless a pirate can be. Even they know love. A pirates love is like non other. A pirate will cross the sea of swords, travel distant lands, follow the winds all their lives just to find that particular treasure. They know patience even if it doesnt know them.

"Yer left that morning before I woken...left me to my deepest thoughts..

leave em wantin more right?

"Always that....but there were other thoughts. In your eyes..what of me?

Well... yer Sel... sure yer not tha Sel ye were... ye're tha Sel ye are... its different, but its tha same aint it? Should I view ye different because ye've been through more stuff? done things? I ain't exactly tha same either eh?

"Nae. "Guess a man merely needs to know how the ship will sail. this time..i nae want to repeat what happened last..Nor do I want to assume something I shouldnt"

Man can want fer all tha world to know how tha seas will treat him or if tha ship will hold. Thas tha realm of tha gods wills and whims.

"Does the Captain have any sort of expectations this round?"

I ain't never put any restrictions on ye or expectations luv..... I merely told ye ta treat me as ye'd want ta be treated yerself.

Maybe I should ask ye... how do ye view yerself?

"A man that only wants to return to the moment he was happy most...and willing to do so ...by any means necessary.."

Ain't no way ta return.... only a way ta reclaim. It'll never be perfectly tha same... might be better

"Then I want to reclaim it all..You may not say it so..but I owe that.."

Then my stipulation is treat yerself better... trust yerself more. Tellin ye not ta stray is sorta like lockin tha chest after tha gold's been poured out...It ain't what ye do... Its what ye feel... what ye think at tha end of tha day. Ye keep comin back? thas all I need till we decide tha waves take us apart. Yer a part of me story Sel.... ye think anythin ye could do... could change that?

Only a pirate can bare the storm of time, guided by the compass of desires to reclaim a treasure that they once held. For a pirate, even if the treasure is not in their grasp, what they claim, is already considered theirs for the taking. To any pirate that has love for the sea, no matter how long they been away, no matter how long they may be rooted on land, they will await the day to return to the vast oceans to reclaim what is theirs. I once knew a pirate that did just that. A true Captain knows when the right wind will come. It will be then that they raise their sails and set course for the destination where X marks the spot. A lost treasure is never truly lost. After all, treasures are meant to be found.

couldn't intoxicate me,
as much as a drop of you."

Punishment

“To burn with desire and keep quiet about it,
is the greatest punishment we can bring on ourselves.”
Image

Some times, people believe that they were destined to forever fall in love with people they couldn’t have. Some wise people will say that there’s a whole assortment of impossible people waiting to be found. I would question to the wise, why must someone live through the same impossibility over and over again. Why does life play such games with emotions? I find it a perverted mockery.

There comes a time in your life when you have to choose to turn the page, write another book or simply close it. But I ask when does one know when to turn the page, or when to write another book, or when to simply close and shelf the book? People can think they know, but in truth in such a thing, they will never really know. It is merely a choice offered to each one living, and each one living, will have to make that choice.

Ever reached out wanting to grab at what you desire, only to pull your hand back while you convince yourself, you might be causing more harm by reaching out? Is it fear? A cowardly act? A smart decision? A wise choice? I call it an opportunity missed. And when an opportunity is missed, you will learn regret. Regret is a thing I myself hate most. Why later in life did you choose to wonder what might have been or could have been? When you had the opportunity to change such phrases to "I know what it was like" or "I've had the chance to experience it". Good or bad, either choice isn't a wrong choice. The only wrong choice is you gave up the opportunity to try.

Image

Why want and not have, when you can have and never want? People say pirates are mere thieves of the sea raiding and plundering for what they want and call it a merciless and brutal act. But that's not how a pirate looks at it. For them, they are unfortunate souls, and in order for them to taste the delectable sensation of pleasures of all kinds, they have to take what they desire. They take opportunities even if it risks their lives. Why do they do so? Let a bartender of the Broken Goblet tell you..

Image

"Because its a far better feeling to had obtain what you desire, than to continue to feel the aching hunger of it."

If you want to see what a drink tastes like in a goblet? Then by all means, try it.
“We drink to get drunk, we get drunk to fall asleep, when we fall asleep, we commit no sin, when we commit no sin, we go to the Heaven's."

Heroic, Courageous, Bravery

“What if no one is coming to discover your hidden talents,
to acknowledge your untapped potential, to heal you,
to save you from yourself? What if the savior was always supposed to be you?
What if that’s why it hasn’t worked out with anyone else?”

"I had little doubt that they were a part of the pale knight's forces... many of hers as of late have been focused near the Grey Peaks... but .. under the city now? That... " *Her brows furrow together, as her eyes dance with the thoughts that swirled around in her mind, behind them*

*He softly kicked off the tree hardly making a sound, in that motion, he spun over, with a rested hand on the trunk while peering into the woman's eyes with curiosity, his breath subtle yet able to be felt* "Why do you risk yourself with such dangers.." *He side glances in the direction of the nearby secluded village* "When the comfort of home and the duty to protect your kin is what you should be doing?"

*Her eyes follow his movement... she does not flinch or coil away from his movements. She is however, very aware of him, a creature ready to move in an instant if needed like any viper.. but right now, she feels no threat .. so she is simply still motionless. Her soft lips began to part....and she begins to speak soft and confidently after all, she knew when too. Her eyes looking into his as she does..* "Why do I trouble myself with danger that could be left to others? I have long walked by the graves of those who waited for someone else to act ....I am a woman that has taken lives, and who has protected them. I have been the shadow that ended men's stories, and now strive to be the one who helps others to write theirs. I walk towards danger, because I understand it... I know its scent, its whispers, its patience. I know how to silence it when it threatens innocents ... when others are too soft to move their blades to do what is necessary. "

*The right side of his mouth curls into a half smile, eyes gave to admiration. A man who often measures the prowess of an individual, knew the woman before him was deadly in such regard. But he seemed very curious as to her intentions to help others not of her own people. He slowly backs away turning his back to her, for only mutual respect could allow such and equal confidence. He removed his beloved hat to allow the fresh air of the ancient woods to flow within. Again admiring the stream that pulled him to a relax state, he finally glances over his shoulder to eye the woman* "Heroic deeds, courageous efforts, bravery in the hearts do often leads to a quick resting place right next to those very graves. *He spoke with a steady calm demeanor only giving a slight tone of mockery at the end* Have you ever tried asking those graves what they think of the decisions they made? I'm sure silence will be their answer." *The last words came out in a matter of fact tone*

"I am, simply, who I am. A light that flickers, where those I care for breathe free. If darkness touches that, no matter whose land it claims to be, it becomes my concern." *She said with absolution and promise. Knowing full well of her own capabilities.* "I have not lived as long as I have, because I act without care or thought...."

A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself, someone willing to go against all odds for the sake of protecting others. That much is true. I've heard it from a woman with my own ears. Someone that didn't have to get involved, nor needed too. Yet without the world to know of it, she was risking her own life, her kingdom, the hearts of her people to save those that she felt needed to be saved. Would I do such a thing as she has? Hmph, I've had, and I am still unsure if I regret it or not. Would I do so again? Well unlike that woman, I only care for my people, my interest, all that I have worked for. I guess people like me are still needed in this world. After all, true hero's like her need a darkness like me. It's the balance that helps spins the wheel of the world from becoming trapped in a time of madness and stupidity. I know of it, I've seen it countless times over and over, and I'm merely human. In my desires, I had wish to whisper into the woman's ear and tell her "Have at it, and bring forth your bravery and fix the cities woes." Like a motivational speech that help empower the cry's of a coming battle. But nae, I know how it will conclude, she wont be commended with true purity of gratitude. The smiles will be fake, the clasping of hands will be only a show for other eyes. Because to those that failed or didn't partake in her efforts, only care for their own selfish ways. To seek recognition, to be the image of a hero without being a hero. I didn't need to tell her anything. Because she already knew it. The difference between a hero and a coward is one step sideways.

Image

I've helped saved countless lives, but the world doesn't look upon me as a hero because I didn't make it known.

Value

“Everyone enjoys being acknowledged and appreciated.
Sometimes even the simplest act of gratitude can change someone's entire day.
Take the time to recognize and value the people around you,
and appreciate those who make a difference in your lives.”

Image

It is much more valuable to look for the strength in others. You can gain nothing by criticizing their imperfections. You can find anyone that will tell you what you want to hear, but the only one worth valuing is the one that tells you what you the truth in what you need to hear. When a man easily let's go of a women, it shows just how much he had valued her. When a woman replaces a man for another, it shows how much they had valued him. They all made their choice, and they came to a decision on your value.

If you been discarded, dont chase after them, because it will only make your value look even less. It isn't your fault that others couldn't comprehend your value. Some people investigate things more carefully than others. Why? Because they dont want to risk overlooking something important. They didn't want to miss something that they might regret later. Because its better to say you knew what you had than to say, you wont ever know what you had. When the ship has sailed, it is already gone.

No need to be moody. *She grins.* Worst case scenario, we can play at the Undercellar like we used to. Or rather, I play, you bartend. *She adds, before she grabs a scroll and places it on the table.* I'm writing up a new song, want to read it?

"Sure. and speakin ol songs, I aint heard mine in a long time. *He grumbles and glared* "Yer better start having mine on yer persons, pin it to yer arse washed or not!...*He reads over the lyrics* "oooh subtle I see."

*She smiled amused and raises her hands "innocently"* Just playing a good song for everyone to hear! If someone feels like they're into that story, probably they should check their conscience! Drink a lot, be merry, have a lot of humping! It's been great seeing you again.*She grins as she stands up.*
I would tell any patron, if you have something of worth, the last thing you want to do, is give it away. Some treasures are actually more valuable than you know. After all, some lost treasures are never found again.

Rumor's, Tales, In the Goblet

The night was young, no rain had came, but the thick fog did. When patrons walked towards the Broken Goblet, the light from lanterns illuminated from the windows, the sounds of carousing and banters and maybe the sounds of squabbles could be heard clear . Once patrons entered after being waved in by a big mountain of a half orc for a door man, the tavern was erupting with more than a dozen voices. The Tavern was filled like the very glass vessels they served with.

"Bartender! We need to know who attacked Winding Water? People are saying its us!"

"Who said its Drows?"

"It has to be Drows, its their way"

"It cant be Drows, they didnt take anything that anyone knows of, not even people to enslave!"

"Not all Drows raids would take slaves"

"But that dont make sense!"

"It wasnt my people, could have been the Temple or maybe the Bregans"

"Its not the Bregans style, they prefer benifits"

"It could be the very mouths that claim its Drows!"

"Could even be them Do gooders trying to extend their homes!"

"Could be, wouldnt put past them corrupt Baldurs sleez balls posing as Paladins!"

"What do you think Bartender? Did you hear anything? Did you see Winding Water?"

"Pity the ones that died unfairly with no reasons, I'll miss the Inn and the tailor place, and one ol them lovely female guards!" *He grins* "I've had some great time with some great women in there. But far as that House ol Spades.." *Spits to the side* "I damn near had a orgasm hear'n it been burn't to rubble. Fok that place and all whom was in it, I shed no tears for them blimey bastards. But was it Chimney elves that did it ? I don't be knowing, but I'll tell ya, I been around the Coast for a very long time, and each time there be a surface raid by chimney elves claiming ta be one ol ya'lls tea cup moon dancing ones, nine times out ol ten, its a chimney elf surely, just not the prissy ones."

You dont care if innocents died?

*He barks a laugh* Luv, the moment yer think folks be innocent, is the marked day yer become stupid. Nae a bloody soul in the world fully innocent! So do I know whom attacked Winding Water? Nae, nae care either. Only gonna miss the nice big hot baths, and the memories I had with fine women over there, but wot a man to do eh? A ship never goes backwards. It only goes where the wind takes it."
“We drink to get drunk, we get drunk to fall asleep, when we fall asleep, we commit no sin, when we commit no sin, we go to the Heaven's."
