// Not sure how obvious it was the previous time so I'll just add OOC message: Looking for someone from Candlekeep, Avowed or anyone in charge around Candlekeep. PM me if someone can arrange a meeting.

Re: Candlekeep Role-Play
Now a semi-regular visitor of Candlekeep, the red-haired druid once more submits an authoral work to the Public Library. Titled "Esoteric Arts, Magic in Gems and Runes", it summarises her research on the topic. To any that might talk to her, she's soft-spoken and gentle, and seems to spend her time reading other works as well as writing her own.

Deep Research

The Guide-gnome begins spending a significant amount of time in the library. He makes sure to take care of all his Guide duties of course, but every other free moment is spent reading books from all over the library, rather than outside where he is otherwise often found. The guards in the lobby are instructed to notify him if any visitor wishes to speak with him.

Re: Candlekeep Role-Play
An elf wizard in a green robe arrives in the Library. They introduce themselves as Ereval, a scholar formerly of Silverymoon, and request an audience with the Guide to discuss a submission as well as the possibility of joining the Avowed.
In the meantime, they peruse the public collection.

A New Acolyte!

A blue-haired moon elf visited the Guide-gnome of Candlekeep today. The two had a conversation in the Guide's office for a couple of hours, then went for a brief tour of the keep.
Later, the Guide-gnome announces a new Acolyte among the ranks of Candlekeep: Ereval Rynn!

Re: Candlekeep Role-Play
A pair of white-haired Moon Elves were spotted crossing the natural bridge to Candlekeep on one of the last days of Tarsakh. They spent some time admiring the fortifications and getting acquainted with the laws of the keep. They chatted frequently in a foreign tongue, although a perceptive witness could notice a moment of great confusion following a certain passage, during which the two elves began looking with concern at their own garments. Those familiar with the laws of Candlekeep might deduce that the concern could be related to their clothes being of very light pastel yellow and white dyes.
After entering, the two elves visited some of the ancillary facilities and services provided by the Keep, but, as it was getting late and there appeared to be no one around to guide them properly, they decided to take a room at the inn and rest before visiting the main library itself.

For the past ten days, Berrin Bennett had become a familiar sight within the walls of Candlekeep. Each morning, the eccentrically dressed man can be seen entering into the great library's private archive, only to emerge again long after sunset to retire at the inn.

Re: Candlekeep Role-Play

For quite some time now, a notable scribe has been frequenting the Hall of Lore, moving through various available materials that line the shelves, and offering writing services, tutoring of various subjects from mundane to magic.
Mostly having kept to themselves, or their own clients for their durations, a surprise likely came when a well worded letter requesting a meeting with the Guide was left in the box, signed fancily by one Theren Moonbrook.

A letter is left expressing an interest in membership and a meeting with the guide if an opening is available from a 'Marona Bloodhoof', a learning wizard. A message can be left for her at the Friendly Arm Inn.

Re: Candlekeep Role-Play
Ereval exits the gates of Candlekeep with a roll of parchment in hand and sits on the bench overlooking the waves. A midnight blue raven swoops down, perches on the backrest, and cranes its neck over Ereval's shoulder as he breaks the parchment's seal - a design featuring a crescent moon - and reads the missive within.
"Told you," the raven croaks in the strange language that a familiar and master share with each other (and eavesdroppers with the right spells). "Your oath is as dead as the last Warlord of Silverymoon."
"I craved certainty," Ereval says. "How many people do you suppose the gentle scribe consulted while reviewing my situation and confirming my identity?"
"More than you'd like."
"I should've teleported to Silverymoon. Sorted it out over a couple quiet conversations. Now there are records of Ereval Rynn requesting an expert opinion to confirm he is not in fact oathbound to keep 127-year-old secrets for a tyrant who died too fast to do anything."
"For all you know, there have been records about you for 127 years and the scribe hardly consulted anyone."
"You'll get along well with Engelia if you meet her."
"I was being optimistic! Records are silent, better than quiet conversations. People would still be talking if you had teleported in out of nowhere."
"True." He sighs. "Very well. Maybe the odds of this coming back to haunt me are as low as they can be."
A few hours later, within the walls, Ereval posts one letter to Silverymoon and leaves another for the Guide of Candlekeep.
Guide Uranhed,
May this find you well and preoccupied with interesting pursuits.
When you are available, I wish to discuss taking vows as a Seeker of the Avowed. I have received confirmation that my oath from 1235 was revoked and I am free of any obligations to withhold knowledge.
Should you have more pressing matters at hand, I would assure you that I am in no rush. My time as an Acolyte has been agreeable. To remain one a while longer would be no hardship.
Thank you,
Acolyte Ereval

At some late hour when only guards remain in the main keep, Ereval slips another message in the Guide's lockbox.
